pick a picture from the box and tell something
about it in a sentence using “he” or “she”.

for the person who is men or women”.
“Today, let’s find out if you are correct as we learn
about the proper use of He and She. It is
important for us to learn this as this will help us
talk about people around us”.

We use She to take the place of a girl’s name
whom we are talking about.

In our first example, we talked about Mama.
Mama is a girl so I used She to take the place of
“Mama”.

In our second example, we talked about Bianca.

Bianca is girl so I used She to take the place of
“Bianca”.
Therefore, we use He for a boy or a man.
Here are some another examples.

Ana wears eyeglasses.

“We can say, “She wears eyeglasses.’’

Lola cooks yummy food.

3. Generalization

When do we use “he”?

When do we use “she”? “Teacher, We use “he” to take the place of
a boy’s name whom we are talking.
We use “she” to take the place of
girl’s name whom we are talking.

4. Practice Exercise
Pair Activity.
Let’s practice using He and She.

“Class you need to find a partner for doing this

activity, Each pair gets “He” and “She” word cards.

(Teacher shows picture of boys and girls and says

sentences. Students raise the appropriate word
card. Students practice saying the sentences with
their partners. Teacher calls on students to say the (finding their partner)
sentences using “He” or “She”.)

Directions: Raise the flag. The teacher will

have a signal to raise the flag. The pupil who raises (they read the directions)
the flag first will be the one to answer. The
contestant from each group will get a picture from
the box. They will use “He” or “she” to complete
the sentence.
