Parts of paragraph:
1. Topic Sentence
- Is usually the first sentence but it can appear at any point in the paragraph.
- The central idea of the paragraph; can be a stand or a comment, an
objective statement, or a question.
2. Supporting Details
- Sentences that clarify and prove the main idea.
- Write at least three supporting details.

Cohesive devices- transitional devices, pronouns, or repetition of ideas to


link sentences effectively.
3. Closing sentences
- Concludes the details that have been presented.
- This sentence should wrap up your paragraph. You can summarize what
the paragraph was about or leave the reader with an interesting idea to
consider further.
