and adds beauty to the school. There are also signage

ANALYZE
How do the school campus and the classroom in particular impact the learning of the students going to school?
What are your conclusion?

The school provides good and well ventilated facilities which can give comfort and motivation on the learning of students.
According to Hendrix 2019, being comfortable can help students to stay focused and motivated which will help them to absorb
more information. The school also maintains cleanliness inside the campus as well as in the classrooms which will encourage
students to be clean at all times. Since having a learning environment that is messy and dirty will give uncomfortable feeling to
the students and they may not be interested to learn. According to Harahap 2018, school environment is one prominent factor
in the formation of students’ habit. Thus, a clean and conducive learning environment is essential in the learning development
and habit of the students going to school.

How does this relate to your knowledge of child and adolescent development/ How does this relate to your
knowledge of facilitating learning?
We have learned that providing good and positive learning environment is beneficial in the development and learning of the
students, just as what Hendrix 2019 stated, “students who study in a positive learning environment have been shown to be
more motivated, engaged, and have a higher overall learning ability”. With these knowledge, we may able to provide quality
facilities wherein they can experienced a learning environment that is organized, clean, well ventilated and free from harmful
and unnecessary distractions. We will make sure that they will enjoy our lessons and be more attentive in our classes.
REFLECT
1. Would you like to teach in the school environment you just observed? Why?
Yes, we would love to teach in the school environment we just observed. We love the ambiance of the school
as we tour ourselves around, we see a lot of trees and plants that makes the school a nature-friendly. The
classroom are good for students to study, it’s spacious and can offer comfortable class. When it comes to their
facilities, we can say that it’s perfect for students who aimed to have a quality education, improved their skills and
abilities.

2. What kind of school campus is conducive to learning?

Based on our shared ideas, a school campus that’s conducive to learning is a school which offers and give
students the quality of learning they deserve; having facilities (library, laboratory, etc.) as training grounds for
students’ knowledge and skills. A school campus that is child-friendly where teachers and school staffs are
approachable. Having a clean environment and should be nature-friendly.

3. What kind of classroom is conducive to learning?

A conducive classroom that offers a positive environment, where students engage in ways that can benefit
them. Having positive teachers who are organized, creative, confident and compassionate. The classroom must be
well ventilated and has the proper sanitation.

REFLECT
4. In the future, how can you accomplish your answer in number 3?
We as a future educator, must apply and adopt all the characteristics that a teacher should possessed. We
must be organized, confident and creative in a way that the students should feel at home in their classroom, ready
and excited to learn new lesson. A teacher who’s conscious when it comes to the cleanliness of the room. We can
accomplish those things by doing it into action and become a responsible teacher, we will put our mind and heart
in our chosen profession.

5. Write your additional learning's and insights here.

When we are aiming quality education for every students, the school, teachers and environment has big impact
in achieving those goals. The school was welcoming during our observation. The principal was approachable and
we encountered friendly teachers who allow us to ask small questions about the facilities of the school and they
answered to us honestly. The heart of the school staffs is as big as their school campus. We are touched.

REFLECT
1. Name at least five skills a teacher should have to be able to come up with effective board displays.
Elaborate on why each skills is needed.
Creativity - Teachers need to be creative so they can make content interesting and beneficial to students.
Visual Skills - Teachers must be able to visualize the presentation they want to display.
Critical Thinking - Teachers should analyze, evaluate and reflect on the concept or information that will be posted
on the board.
Resourceful - Teachers should use the available means to meet the needs, so teacher can conserve time, effort
and money.
Good communication - Teachers should know combined words for content so students can easily understand or
comprehend the message.

2. Which of the skills you named in # 1 do you already have? Recall your past experiences in making
board displays. How do you practice these skills?
The skill that we already have is creativity. Since we already practiced this skill by applying it in our classes
when there is are activities, like making board displays and scrapbook. We remembered making board display and
encouraged by our teacher to be creative, there should be an originality and we should be artistic all the time.

REFLECT
3. Which skills do you still need to develop? What concrete steps you take on how you can improve
on or acquire these skills.
The skill that we need to develop is the good communication skill, we admit that we are not that good with our
grammars and we struggle when it comes to combining words for visual content. So to improve this skills we need
to study, practice and read more to become an effective educator so that student may easily comprehend the
messages and information we posted in the board display.

Oh look! What do you see? Oh look! What do you see?
I see school that was free, I see school that's sanitary.
Not just financially, Foods were examined properly,
But also from dingy. Water supply is safe and healthy.

Oh look! What do you see? Oh look! What do you see?
I see school that's nature-friendly. I see school that's compassionately.
Throughout are trees evidently, Mission, vision employed masterly,
Place that's friend of nature surely. Core values were exercised fully.

Oh look! What do you see? Oh look! What do you see?
I see school that was securely. I see school that was comfy.
Besides students' literacy, Atmosphere was also homely,
Safeness was top priority. Called as students' second homey.

ENCOUNTERED CHALLENGES

The challenges we encountered are:

(1) because of the pandemic, there are no face to face classes so the
classrooms inside that school are closed and just few of it are
open the same with other school offices and facilities so we only
documented the offices and rooms that are open.
(2) during our observations, there are buildings that are restricted and
under renovation because of the it’s oldness and accidents. So the
facilities that were located in those buildings were transferred and
because of it we sometimes get lost but good thing the people
inside the school were approachable to ask for directions.
