in ELJ. And the achievements of students, like trophies and poster of their works was posted

inside of the principal’s office.

- The teacher’s desk was in front of the classroom and books and output results of student was

located on library to show appreciation for students’ effort and hard work. Tools and equipment

- Tools for production and broadcasting was located and present at the theater room, the books

and outputs of students was placed inside of library. And sports tools like volleyball and basketball

is located at the faculty room. And lastly the achievements of students was save at the principal’s

office.

4. Observe the students how many are occupying one room?

- Based on my observation student count per room on ELJ has a capacity of 35 to 40 students

per classroom. They are comfortable in each chair that is assigned in one of them. The seating

arrangement would be possible is assigned by their class adviser or based on their names.

5. Is the room well-lit and well ventilated?

- Yes, each room is well ventilated. Each room has two doors and eight windows per classroom.

Each room has a good amount of light to help their studying and an electric fan to keep their

classroom well ventilated.

Wall Displays The wall has several excellent walls displays positioned in front

and behind it. Although they are all different sizes, the ones in

front are the largest. They are arranged according to

significance. Like Christmas decorations, posters of previous

projects and so many more.

Teacher’s Table I don’t have any idea what the exact size of the teachers table is

but for me it is enough to put the things when the teacher having

a class. It is placed in center in front facing the students. It looks

used but still functional.

Learner’s Desk The learner’s desk is made of wood the chair is separate from

the table of students not like other schools that used an armchair

that is made from some wood. The learner’s study area is

enough to have a comfortable learning space while studying.

The setup of the learner’s desk is 4 rows with 5 chairs each and

the student desk is for two students per desk.

Blackboard ELJ is using whiteboard that is attached from the wall and they

used markers to write topics or discussions in class sessions.

MY OBSERVATIONS

The following are my observations during my visitation at Eugenio Lopez Jr. Center for Media Arts

Senior High School last December 7, 2023:

• The school is easily located. There is a big label of the name of the school. That can be

found on the top part of the building.

• There is store and other elementary and high school which is Kamuning Elementary

School and Quezon City High School.

• The security of school is well managed, and the lady guard is so approachable and

friendly.

• The building of the school has a unique style and color of ABS-CBN.

• The principal’s office and faculty are easy to find in the campus.

• The vibe inside the school has a friendly and respectful atmosphere.

• Each facility in ELJ is well maintained.

• Students’ artistic skills was allowed to design their own classroom.

• Student was the key to the school and letting them to create songs, dance steps, and to

have a broadcasting team.


• They have elevator inside of the school.

• Students are all talented.

• All in all, learning takes place in a safe environment at school. The equipment and

materials are in working order, and the facilities are easily reached. Most importantly, the

school fosters a learning environment.

How did the school campus and school in particular impact the learning of these students

going to school? What are the conclusions?

- Students' learning experiences at the Eugenio Lopez Jr. Center for Media Arts Senior High

School have been greatly influenced by the campus and surroundings. The school's cutting-edge

resources and creative learning environments foster an environment that is favorable to

innovation and teamwork. The inclusion of media arts in the curriculum encourages critical

thinking and practical skills by allowing students to investigate and interact with contemporary

communication mediums. Students are prepared for the changing needs of the media industry by

the school's dedication to technology and media education. Additionally, the campus's

extracurricular activities and friendly community enrich the academic experience overall and

encourage a comprehensive approach to student development.

How does this relate to your knowledge of child and adolescent development? How does

this re- late to your knowledge of facilitating learning?

- I recognize the value of experiential learning and hands-on activities in supporting cognitive and

socio-emotional development in the context of child and adolescent development. The school

recognizes that today's students have changing interests and good technology skills by including

media arts into the curriculum. This method supports creativity, critical thinking, and problem-
solving—all important components of cognitive development—while also accommodating a

variety of learning styles.

1. Would you like to teach in the school environment you just observe? Why? Why not?

- To be honest the community and atmosphere that ELJ Senior High School that had is very new

to me, but in this kind of school, I dreamed that someday I could teach students in a skill-based

learning environment and in the field of performing and media arts. It’s not all about that this would

be a comfort zone for me but having this kind of student is a huge opportunity to have because

those students are talented that they can learn from me, and I can learn from them also.

2. What kind of school campus is conducive to learning?

- A school campus that stresses several elements that create an atmosphere that supports

learning and development is one that is conducive to learning. First and foremost, a perfect

campus has well-thought-out and useful facilities, such as contemporary classrooms with

technology that encourages creative and participatory learning. Collaborative spaces that are

plentiful, like study places, open common areas, and zones for group discussions, promote

contact between students and teachers, thereby cultivating a culture of teamwork and shared

learning experiences.

- I'll take the following actions to create a classroom that is helpful for learning:

are top considerations for a potential teacher. It is imperative to integrate multiple teaching

approaches, such as technology integration and project-based learning, to accommodate a wide

range of learning styles. Establishing defined standards for behavior and academic performance

is crucial for a well-structured learning atmosphere. Proactive problem solving, excellent

organizational abilities, reliable routines, and attentiveness to the needs of each individual student

are all necessary for effective classroom management. For the overall wellness and health of both

students and teachers, it is also essential to keep a clean, well-ventilated classroom. In the end

an aspiring educator needs to make sure that the classroom is in a comfortable temperature, use

interesting teaching techniques, establish clear objectives, foster a pleasant environment, apply

efficient management, make sure that there is enough air, and keep the area clean.

- In addition to the fun learning, principles of creating a positive and effective classroom

environment, continuous learning and adaptation will be essential components of my teaching

My Proposal Board Display

Theme: Buwan ng Wika

Board Title: Ating wika ang susi sa tagumpay ng bawat isa

Rationale:

• The purpose of this bulletin board display is to encourage student to use the mother

tongue during the “Buwan ng Wika” and to practice other words that not familiar to

them.

Objectives:

• Remind student to speak tagalog for the “Buwan ng Wika”.

• To teach them other words that not familiar to them.

• To student on how important learning our own language.

- The creativity, because, before I was assigned to be part of the group in class to join them to develop

our display to make it more attractable and engaging to another student inside of classroom. I practiced

these skills by watching on YouTube and applying it by making my own design board in my room to put

my artworks and achievements.

improve on or acquire these skills?

- The attention to detail skills because sometimes I overboard doing designs and forgot who the target

audience of the output is. So first I need to identify who is my audience and what concept they want to

involve them on the output that I’m making. So in this steps I will be more aware on what is the details

that I need to put.
