The Presidents Perspective

We all appreciated Bryan Pfeifer, Tracy Mercier, and Melissa
Warren attending our October meeting to discuss the VEAs
legislative agenda with us. It seems to correspond to IOTA States
agenda for this year which can be found on the IOTA website. I
encourage all of you to BE SEEN IN GREEN on Monday, Nov. 2, to
show support for MORE FOR ED MONDAY. Please be sure to
cast your vote on Nov. 3. We would also like to see representation
from our chapter for IOTAs Lobby Day on Feb. 3. Please let me
know if you are interested in going.
I have been getting in some goals from committee chairpersons. If
you have not sent me your goals, please do so before the Nov.
meeting.
The invitation letters for our new Friend of Education Award are
going out. We hope to have the award ceremony at our Christmas
Social in December.
We also hope to begin updating our picture directory. There was
some discussion about putting the directory on our website which
would save money. Please think about the pros and cons of doing
so. We would like to have a discussion at the next meeting and
decide how we would like to handle this.
Wishing everyone a Happy Fall!
