* Form:
If + S + had + P.P, S + would / could / might+ have + P.P
* Usage: unreal situations in the past
* Inversion:
Had + S + P.P, S + would / could / should + have + P.P

Ex: If I had won the lottery, I would have bought a car.


 Had I won the lottery, I would have bought a car.

* Note: “not” is put after the subject in the negative form.


Ex: Had I not won the lottery, I would have bought a car.
