Lesson Plan Title: Using Google Slides to match pairs


Concept/Topic To Teach: matching skills that are the same or almost the same
General Goal(s): Enable students to practice matching skills and support the development of
computer skills with drag and drop features
Specific Objectives: Identify matches, use mouse to drag and drop
Required Materials: Chromebook, ipad, laptop, or desktop computer
Anticipatory Set (Lead-In): Watch youtube video called Match Exactly the Same | Matching & Logic
Games for Kids | Kids Academy
Step-By-Step Procedures: Discuss with students what we will be doing today, play youtube video
about matching, Show students next slide and discuss what items we have and find which is the
match, discuss how we use our mouse to drag and drop the matching item into the empty box.
Plan For Independent Practice: After going over the slides 3-10 students will work on the rest of
the slides on their own.
Closure (Reflect Anticipatory Set): We will discuss which items they have that match throughout
the classroom
Assessment Based on Objectives: Directly compare two objects with a measurable attribute in
common
Possible Connections to Other Subjects: Computer skills

Special Needs Accomodation: For our students that need assistance they will work with a
