‫يدخل الملك كلوديوس والملكة جيروتد و روزينكراتنس و كيلدنشترن وبعض األتباع‬
Claudius welcomes Hamlet's friends, whom he summons for the purpose of
using them to find out the reason for Hamlet's crazy and strange behavior.
Claudius doubts if Hamlet discovers the truth about his father's death, but
nothing suggests that and this doubt does not worry Claudius, he is now
really trying to find out the reason for Hamlet's actions because in his
opinion, a deranged heir threatens the kingdom.
‫يُرحب كلوديوس بأصدقاء هاملت الذي استدعاهم لغرض األستفادة منهم في معرفة سبب تصرفات هاملت‬
. ‫الجنونية والغريبة‬
‫كلوديوس يشك في اذا اكتشف هاملت حقيقة وفاة والده لكن ال شيء يوحي لذلك وان هذا الشك ال يُقلق‬
‫ هو االن فعلا يحاول معرفة سبب تصرفات هاملت ألن برأيه وجود وريث مختل يهدد المملكة‬، ‫كلوديوس‬

Claudius has no real reason to call friends other than to use them as a tool to
learn Hamlet's secret, but on the pretext that she is a friendly family help as
they are his childhood friends.

‫كلوديوس ليس لديه سبب حقيقي ألستدعاء األصدقاء سوى استخدامهم كأداة لمعرفة سر هاملت ولكن‬
. ‫بحجة انها مساعدة عائلية ودية بأعتبارهم اصدقاءه منذ الطفولة‬
The Queen once again welcomes friends and begs them for help. She does
not know the truth about Claudius's role in the death of her late husband,
but she is concerned about her son's mental state.

‫ هي ال تعرف عن حقيقة دور كلوديوس في‬، ‫الملكة ترحب مرة اخرى باألصدقاء وترتجي منهم المساعدة‬
. ‫وفاة زوجها الراحل لكنها قلقة بشأن حالة ابنها العقلية‬
Friends seem to be good sycophants of the royalist class, which is indicated
by their quick approval, and to regard this as something they should do, not
please.
‫ان األصدقاء يبدو انهم متملقين جيدين للطبقة المالكة الذي يدل عليه موافقتهم السريعة واعتبار هذا مثل‬
. ‫الشي هو امر واجبهم تأديه وليس رجاء‬
Claudius' falsehood is revealed when he suspects the names of the two
friends, although his welcome to them was evidence of his good knowledge of
them. The Queen rushes to correct the names after the King in a comic
character.
‫يُكشف زيف كلوديوس عندما يشتبه بأسماء الصديقين رغم ان ترحيبه بهم كان يدل على معرفته الجيدة‬
. ‫ ت ُسارع الملكة لتصحيح األسماء بعد الملك بطابع هزلي‬. ‫بهم‬
After the agreement, the two friends go out, and Polonius enters with him
the ambassadors Voltmand and Cornelius, whom Claudius had sent as
messengers to the King of Norway.
At the time of Shakespeare, kings would send messengers to the kings of
other countries with news, complaints, and others.
‫بعد األتفاق يخرجان الصديقان ويدخل بولونيوس ومعه السفراء فولتماند وكورنيلوس الذي قد ارسلهم‬
، ‫كلوديوس ك ُرسل الى ملك النرويج‬
. ‫ شكاوي وغيرها‬،‫في زمن شيكسبير كان الملوك يرسلون رسل الى ملوك بلدان اخرى مع اخبار‬
One of the ambassadors Voltmand tells King Claudius of the response of the
King of Norway and the withdrawal of his nephew's forces
Provided that the King would allow Fotenbras to use it
His forces to occupy Poland by passing through Denmark
Claudius agrees, and the ambassadors go out
Polonius remains with the king and queen.

‫احد السفراء فولتماند يخبر الملك كلوديوس عن استجابة ملك النرويج وسحب قوات ابن اخيه‬
‫على ان يسمح الملك لفوتنبراس بأستخدامه قواته ألحتلل بولندة بالمرور بأراضي الدنمارك‬
. ‫وافق كلوديوس على االمر ويخرج السفراء ويبقى بولونيوس مع الملك والملكة‬
These are the most important lines of Polonius in the play, so he masters
words as he tries to explain thinking that Hamlet is crazy and tries to get the
king's support by starting his words with great respect and brevity in
explanation in appreciation of the king's time. Shakespeare takes an
opportunity to present some wordplay in a very clever way.
‫هذه اهم سطور بولونيوس في المسرحية اذن يتفنن في الكلمات حيث يحاول التوضيح يظن ان هاملت‬
‫مجنون و يحاول الحصول على تأييد الملك ببدء كلمه بأحترام شديد وايجاز في الشرح تقديرا ا لوقت‬
. ‫شيكسبير يشغل فرصة لتقديم بعض التلعب باأللفاظ بطريقة ذكية جدا ا‬. ‫الملك‬
The matter makes it clear that Prince Hamlet is insane, while trying to take
into account his words so that it is not understood as an accusation, but
appears to be concerned about Hamlet's condition.
‫يوضح األمر بأن األمير هاملت مجنون مع محاولة في مراعاة كلمه كي ال يُفهم على انه اتهام انما يظهر‬
. ‫بمظهر القلق بخصوص وضع هاملت‬
Polonius begins reading Hamlet's letters to Ophelia, aloud to the king and
queen, and Polonius' ruthlessness She prompts him to comment on Hamlet's
hair, and the queen is irritated when she hears Hamlet's words to Ophelia.
ُ‫يبدأ بولونيوس قراءة رسائل هاملت الى اوفيليا وبصوت عالي للملك والملكة وغلظة بولونيوس تدفعه‬
. ‫للتعليق على شعر هاملت ويُثار غضب الملكة لسماعها كلم هاملت ألوفيليا‬
Polonius explains that his daughter, Ophelia, told him everything about this
subject in his time. Claudius doubts that Ophelia has responded to Hamlet's
offers, which angers Polonius He always emphasizes his respectful
upbringing of his daughter and son.
‫كلوديوس يشك ان‬. ‫يوضح بولونيوس ان ابنته اوفيليا اخبرته بكل شي يخص هذا الموضوع وفي وقته‬
‫كانت اوفيليا استجابت لعروض هاملت مما يثير غضب بولونيوس فهو يؤكد دائما ا على تربيته المحترمة‬
. ‫ألبنته وابنه‬
Polonius describes Hamlet's madness as the result of his deep sadness over
Ophelia's rejection of him. Claudius' accurate description of Hamlet's
sadness and madness may indicate that he had previously suffered from the
pain of love, as his wife is not found in any copy of the text, which may make
us guess that Polonius' explanation and interpretation Accurate indicates
that he may have lived an emotional experience that caused him grief.
‫ ان وصف كلوديوس‬، ‫بولونيوس يصف ان جنون هاملت هو نتيجة حزنه العميق على رفض اوفيليا له‬
‫الدقيقة لحالة حزن وجنون هاملت ربما تدل على انه قد عانى في السابق من الم الحب فأن زوجته غير‬
‫موجودة في اي نسخة من النص مما قد يجعلنا نخمن ان شرح بولونيوس وتفسيره الدقيق يدل انه ربما‬
. ‫عاش تجربة عاطفية سبب له الحزن‬
Claudius and the Queen doubt whether this is the real reason for Hamlet's
madness. Polonius seems to be someone who can't keep from exaggerating
his words, even as he talks a lot and loves flattering descriptions.

‫ بولونيوس يبدو انه شخص‬، ‫يشك كلوديوس والملكة فيما اذا كان هذا هو السبب الحقيقي لجنون هاملت‬
. ‫ال يقدر عدم المبالغة في كلمه حتى انه كثير التحدث محبا ا لألوصاف المبالغة المتملقة‬
Polonius, who does not know the credibility of his doubt, but boasts that he
can prove his words.
Evidence of Hamlet's strange behavior is that he has been walking for 4
hours straight in the halls.
. ‫بولونيوس الذي ال يعرف مدى مصداقية شكه لكنهُ يتفاخر بأنهُ يستطيع اثبات كلمه‬
. ‫ ساعات متواصلة في الردهات‬4 ‫ان دليل على غرابة تصرفات هاملت انه اصبح يمشي‬
Polonius proposes, to cut off doubt, to instruct his daughter Ophelia to have
a private conversation with Hamlet, on condition that Polonius, the queen
and the king be close in secret.
‫ على ان‬، ‫يقترح بولونيوس لقطع الشك باليقين بأن يكلف ابنته اوفيليا بأجراء محادثة خاصة مع هاملت‬
‫ هذه هي عملية تجسس ليست غريبة على طبع‬، ‫يكون بولنيوس والملكة والملك قريبين مع التخفي‬
. ‫بولنيوس‬
Through their conversation, the truth will become clear whether Hamlet's
madness was the result of his grief over Ophelia's separation or not. Here,
Polonius agrees with the king with his punishment.
If he was wrong in this matter, by bringing him back as a farmer instead of
being a consultant as he is now.
‫ هنا‬، ‫من خلل محادثتهم ستتضح الحقيقة ان كان سبب جنون هاملت نتيجة حزنه على فراق اوفيليا او ال‬
‫بولونيوس يتفق مع الملك بعقوبته ان كان مخطئا ا في هذا الموضوع وذلك بإعادته مزارع بدالا من كونه‬
. ‫مستشار كما هو عليه اآلن‬
Hamlet enters and asks Polonius to give him a chance to interrupt and speak
after the salutation.
. ‫يدخل هاملت ويطلب من بولونيوس ان يمنحه فرصة للمقاطعة والتحدث بعد القاء التحية‬
Polonius is not sure whether Hamlet knows him or not, he is checking the
integrity of Hamlet's memory,
 Hamlet is trying to talk like a madman by saying that Paulinus is a
fishmonger, but this usage is important for him
Shakespeare, as in the time of Shakespeare, this word is as evidence of those
who sell honor, and with this word Hamlet accuses Polonius indirectly of
selling him for the honor of his daughter Ophelia.
، ‫ انه يتحقق من سلمة ذاكرة هاملت‬، ‫بولونيوس غير متأكد ان كان هاملت يعرفه او ال‬
‫هاملت يحاول التحدث كمجنون بالقول ان بولنيوس بائع سمك لكن هذه األستعمال مهم عن‬
‫شيكسبير حيث انه في زمن شيكسبير هذه الكلمة هي كدليل على من يبيع الشرف وبهذه الكلمة هاملت‬
. ‫يتهم بولونيوس بشكل غير مباشر ببيعه لشرف ابنته اوفيليا‬
Hamlet has a view based on the integrity of men, and one in ten thousand is
not a good possibility.
During Shakespeare's time, it was believed that fireflies were born
spontaneously.

According to the critics' analysis, Hamlet's words, which are considered
madness in an attempt to insult Polonius, say that the sun, which although it
is life-giving but can produce what is disgusting like Polonius from rotting
dogs, is Denmark.
‫حسب تحليل النقاد ان كلم هاملت الذي يتم اعتباره جنون في محاولة إلهانة بولونيوس مثل ان الشمس‬
‫التي رغم انها واهبة للحياة لكنها يمكن ان تنتج ما هو مثير للقرف مثل بولونيوس من كلب متعفنة هي‬

He plays Hamlet, warns Polonius not to let his daughter walk in the sun, and
here he plays on two different meanings
‫يلعب هاملت يحذر بولونيوس من ترك ابنته تمشي تحت الشمس وهو هنا يلعب على معنينين مختلفين‬
