Class: VII Section: A & B Subject: Mathematics Period: 4th & 5th Duration:50mins
Date:9/4/21 Day: Friday
2. Lesson Objectives: At the end of the lesson, a child will be able to apply the divisibility rules for
6, 7, 8, 11 and 12 with few examples without teacher’s help.
Eg. 479623, 190116(tr. will provide few examples and ask them whether the given number can be
divided by two or not. Put cross mark and tick mark to indicate the divisibility.
Activity (1): Ask children to write down few examples of their own and share it to the class. Copy
the notes from the board.
2. Divisible by 7
Double the last digit and subtract from the remaining digits, if the differences is 0 or multiple of 7, the
given number is divisible by 7.
→455 → 5 x 2
→45-10= 35(is multiple of 7)
⸫ 455 is divisible by 7 (. will provide few examples and ask them whether the given number can
be divided by two or not after getting the sum. Put a cross mark and tick mark to indicate the
divisibility).
Activity (2): Ask children to write down few examples of their own and share it to the class. Copy
the notes from the board.
3. Divisible by 8
Double the last digit and subtract from the remaining digits, if the differences is 0 or multiple of 7, the
given number is divisible by 7.
4. Divisible by 11
Double the last digit and subtract from the remaining digits, if the differences is 0 or multiple of 7, the
given number is divisible by 7.
5. Divisible by 12
Double the last digit and subtract from the remaining digits, if the differences is 0 or multiple of 7, the
given number is divisible by 7.
9. Follow up Activity: write few examples on the board and make them to solve individually.
10. Home Assignment: Question 2 and 3 from page 5 and question 2 from revision page 33.
11. LESSON CLOSURE: Revise the concepts once if the time permits. Check whether the lesson
objectives have been fulfilled or not.
