Lesson Introduction [Timing: 5 Mins]
A system of linear equations is a group of two or more linear equations having the same
variables. For example, x + 2y = 14 , 2x + y = 6.
To compare equations in linear systems, the best way is to see how many solutions both
equations have in common. If there is nothing common between the two equations then
it can be called inconsistent. But it will be called consistent if anyone ordered pair can
solve both the equations. If the equation carries more than one point in common then it
will be called dependent.
Lesson Development [Timing: 20 Mins]
Tr. Will solve, discuss and explain few questions from the textbook on the board.

Determine whether the system 2𝑥 + 𝑦 − 2𝑧 = 4, 𝑥 − 2𝑦 + 𝑧 = −2, 5𝑥 − 5𝑦 + 𝑧 =

−2 𝑖𝑠 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑡. (Solving on the board)
Student Activity [Timing: 10 Mins]
Let students to solve individually. Determine whether the system:
𝑥 − 3𝑦 + 2𝑧 = 4, 2𝑥 + 𝑦 − 3𝑧 = −2, 4𝑥 − 5𝑦 + 𝑧 = 5 is consistent.
Monitoring/ Follow-up Activity [Timing: 10 Mins]
Guide students by moving around the class and ensure that every student actively solve.
Provide necessary hints and feedback to the needy students.
Lesson Closure [Timing: 5 Mins]
Summarize the lesson taught.
Assign few questions as a homework.
