Date: 7/4/21 Day: Wednesday

1. Lesson Topic: Divisibility Test

2. Lesson Objectives: At the end of the lesson, a child will be able to apply the divisibility rules for
2 and 3 with few examples without teacher’s help.

3. Strategy to be used: Lecture, demonstration, concept building.

4. TLM to be used: Textbook, chalk and chalkboard.
5. Life Skills/Values to be incorporated:
6. Important Vocabulary need to learn: Multiples, factors, sum, product
7. LESSON INTRODUCTION: Recap the concept learned in the previous lesson. Talk on
division: Divisor, dividend and quotient. Write the topic on the board.
Gaining attention: Ask them to sit straight by keeping everything on the desk.
8. LESSON DEVELOPMENT:
1. Divisible by 2:
A whole number is divisible by 2 if the digit in ones place is 0,2,4,6, or 8.

be divided by two or not. Put cross mark and tick mark to indicate the divisibility.

Activity (1): Ask children to write down few examples of their own and share it to the class. Copy
the notes from the board.

2. Divisible by 3
A whole number is divisible by 3 if the sum of the digits is the multiple of 3.

Eg. 126, 78, 342, 214 (. will provide few examples and ask them whether the given number
can be divided by two or not after getting the sum. Put a cross mark and tick mark to indicate the
divisibility).

Activity (2): Ask children to write down few examples of their own and share it to the class. Copy
the notes from the board.

9. Follow up Activity: write few examples on the board and make them to solve individually.

10. Home Assignment: Question 1: a) to c).
