2. Lesson Objectives: At the end of the lesson, a child will be able to apply the divisibility rules for
2 and 3 with few examples without teacher’s help.
Eg. 78, 124, 25, 1247(tr. will provide few examples and ask them whether the given number can
be divided by two or not. Put cross mark and tick mark to indicate the divisibility.
Activity (1): Ask children to write down few examples of their own and share it to the class. Copy
the notes from the board.
2. Divisible by 3
A whole number is divisible by 3 if the sum of the digits is the multiple of 3.
Eg. 126, 78, 342, 214 (. will provide few examples and ask them whether the given number
can be divided by two or not after getting the sum. Put a cross mark and tick mark to indicate the
divisibility).
Activity (2): Ask children to write down few examples of their own and share it to the class. Copy
the notes from the board.
9. Follow up Activity: write few examples on the board and make them to solve individually.
11. LESSON CLOSURE: Revise the concepts once if the time permits. Check whether the lesson
objectives have been fulfilled or not.
