LESSON PLAN IN HEALTH 8 QUARTER 2 LESSON 1

I-Objectives
At the end of the lesson the student will be able to:
a. Understand the importance of courtship and dating in choosing a lifelong partner. (H8FH-IIa-24-25)
b. Clarify the behavior that promotes healthy relationship in marriage and family life. (H8FH-IIa-27)
c. Make a plan on how to have a successful marriage and family life. (H8FH-IIa-28)
CSE: Identify where to access medically accurate information and services on pregnancy, prenatal
care, birth, and newborn and infant care. (S5A1)
II-Subject Matter
A. Topic: Courtship and dating in choosing lifelong partner and factors of a healthy marriage and
successful family life.
B. Reference: PE and Health 8 Learner’s Module and Curriculum Guide
C. Materials: Internet, Cellphone/Laptop & etc.
III-Procedure

B. Review: Review the past lesson (Dimension of Human Sexuality)
C. Motivation: The students will be watching a Video Spoken of Princess Vitales
D. Activity: The students will reflect about video message and answer some questions given by the
teacher.
E. Analysis: Fast Talk! Listed are sets of options that will somehow determine your preferences and
outlook
towards your future family life. Since it is a Fast talk activity, you are only given 30 seconds to complete
your choices.
F. Abstraction: Presenting the new lesson/Discussion
( CSE Integration will be touched during the discussion.)
1.Where to access medical services and accurate information on prenatal care, birth, newborn and
infant care?
2. What are prenatal practices that can contribute to a healthy and safe pregnancy?
G. Application: Individual Activity
*First Activity- The students will be able to give some reaction, comments, or ideas about the
learned concept. Pages 36-37
*Second Activity- The students will be able to answer the “Wheel of Future”. Pages 34-35
*Third Activity- The Students will create a letter to future lifelong partner. Their plans and
how they
will deal each other to have a successful and healthy family life.

*Answer the following question #s 1 to 10. Choose the letter of the correct answer.

V-Assignment
Think of a successful married couple you know. This couple might be your parents or guardians,
grandparents, an aunt and uncle, or neighbors. In your assignment notebook, copy, answer and complete the
chart by putting a check mark at appropriate column after each question. Remember the points that
contribute to the success of their marriage.
