- It occur at any level, commonly in C2-C3 (mechanical wry neck). In lower level .it is usually
secondary to disc disorder.
- Caused by unguarded neck movment.
- Manifestations:
 Instant pain over the involved joints.
 Posture of slight flexion and contralateral side bending.

- Affecting most mobile : lower cervical vertebrae.
- It has agradual onset.
- Pain increase with extention
- Causes:
 Aging process (dehydration)
 Repeated minor trauma

Clinical picture
Manifestation of cervical spine differ according to the pathology and severity:
1. Local manifestations (pain and muscle spasm, limited ROM)

2. Radiculopathy: pain, sensory changes (paresthesia or anesthesia) muscle weakness
and motor changes

‫‪ chemical pain‬ممكن يكون حاجة عادية وممكن يكون لقدر هللا ‪tumor‬‬

‫وال ‪ night pain‬معناه انه بيصج من النوم بليل بسبب األلم معناه ان االلم ر ي‬
