1. Wh- questions - Câu hỏi với từ để hỏi
Wh-questions bat đầu với các từ đế hỏi như: what, when, where, who, whom, which, whose, why và
UNIT 7. how. Chúng ta dùng chúng để hỏi lấy thông tin.
 Các từ để hỏi thông dụng
TELEVITION Who: ai? - được sử dụng để hỏi về người (thường hỏi về chủ ngữ hoặc tân ngữ).

b. "What" dùng để hỏi về tân ngữ How far: - được dùng để hỏi về khoảng cách.

Which: - được sử dụng để hỏi về sự lựa chọn. How long: - được dùng đê hỏi về độ dài thời gian.

When: - được dùng để hỏi về thời gian. How many: - được dùng để hỏi về số lượng, theo sau là danh từ đếm được số nhiều.

Where: - được dùng để hỏi về địa điểm, vị trí. (Bạn cần bao nhiêu tiền?)
Ở đâu? Where do you live? - How much còn được dùng để hỏi về giá cả.
(Cậu sống ở đâu?) How much does this book cost?
Where did you find this book? (Cuốn sách này giá bao nhiêu vậy?)
(Cậu tìm thấy cuốn sách này ở đâu?) How old: - được dùng để hỏi về tuổi tác.
Why: - được sử dụng để hỏi về nguyên nhân, lý do. bao nhiêu How old are you?
tại sao? Why did you go to bed late last night? tuổi? (Bạn bao nhiêu tuổi?)
(Tại sao tối qua cậu ngủ muộn vậy?) 2. Conjunctions in compound sentences: and, but, so - Liên kết từ trong câu ghép: and, but, so
Why did you turn off the TV?  Định nghĩa câu ghép:
(Tại sao cậu lại tắt TV?) Câu ghép là câu được hình thành bởi 2 hay nhiều mệnh đê độc lập. Các mệnh đề này được nối với nhau
bởi các liên từ kết hợp như: and, but, so... hoặc dấu chấm phây (;).
Dưới đây chúng ta sẽ được học về liên từ nối AND, BUT và SO
AND: - dùng để nối hai mệnh đề nhằm bổ sung thêm ý kiến.

1. PAST SIMLE (THÌ QUÁ KHỨ ĐƠN)
 Cách sử dụng thì quá khứ đơn
- Diễn tả một hành động đã xảy ra và kết thúc tại một thời điểm xác định trong quá khứ. 1. Thông thường ta thêm “ed” vào sau động từ. turn - turned
I bought this book last night. need - needed
(Tôi mua cuốn sách này tối qua.) talk - talked
Jack used to live in London. 2. Động từ tận cùng là “e”  chỉ cần cộng thêm “d”. type - typed
(Jack đã từng sống Ở London.) smile - smiled
- Diễn tả một loạt các hành động xảy ra trong quả khứ. agree - agreed
She came home, switched on the computer and checked her e-mails. 3. Động từ tận cùng là một phụ âm, trước phụ âm là một stop - stopped
(Cô ấy đã về nhà, bật máy tính và kiểm tra email.) nguyên âm  ta nhân đôi phụ âm cuối rồi thêm “-ed”. knit - knitted
She turned on her computer, read the message on Facebook and answered it. 4. Động từ có hai âm tiết, tận cùng là một phụ âm, trước commit - committed
(Cô ấy đã mở máy tính, đọc tin nhắn Facebook và trả lời tin nhắn.) phụ âm là một nguyên âm, trọng âm rơi vào âm tiết thứ prefer - preferred
- Diễn đạt một hành động xen vào một hành động đang diễn ra trong quá khứ. hai  ta nhân đôi phụ âm cuối rồi thêm “-ed”.
When I was having breakfast, the phone suddenly rang. 5. Động từ tận cùng là “y”
(Khi tôi đang ăn sáng thì điện thoại đột nhiên reo lên.) - Nếu trước “y” là phụ âm  đổi “y” thành “i” sau đó thêm study - studied
When I was cooking, Mary came. “-ed” cry – cried
(Khi tôi đang nấu ăn thì Mary đến.) - Nếu trước “y” là một nguyên âm (a, e, i, o, u) ta thêm play - played
 Cấu trúc thì quá khứ đơn “ed”. stay - stayed
Normal Verb To be  Dấu hiệu nhận biết thì quá khứ đon.
(+) S + V-ed You, We, They + were Trong câu xuất hiện các trạng từ chỉ thời gian sau:
I, He, She, It + was - Yesterday: hôm qua
(-) S + didn’t + V-inf You, We, They + weren’t - Last night/ last week/ last month/ last year: tối qua/ tuần trước/ tháng trước/ năm trước
I, He, She, It + wasn’t - Ago: cách đây (two hours ago, two weeks ago ...)
(?) Did + S + V-inf Were + you, we, they ? - In + năm trong quá khứ
Was + I, he, she, it ? 2. IMPERATIVES - MỆNH LỆNH THỨC
Ex 1: She walked to school yesterday. (Hôm qua cô ấy đi bộ tới trường.)  Định nghĩa
Ex 2: She didn’t walk to school yesterday. (Hôm qua cô ấy không đi bộ tới trường.) Câu mệnh lệnh trong tiếng Anh là câu được sử dụng để đưa ra mệnh lệnh, lời hướng dẫn, lời khuyên,
Ex 3: Did she walk to school yesterday? (Hôm qua cô ấy có đi bộ tới trường hay không?) sự khuyến khích hay sai khiến người khác, nó còn gọi là câu cầu khiến.
- Yes, she did./ No, she didn’t. (Có, cô ấy có./ Không, cô ấy không.) Câu mệnh lệnh thường không có chủ ngữ và theo sau bởi từ please. Chủ ngữ của cau mệnh lệnh được
Chú ý: ngầm hiểu ở đây là you.
- Với động từ thường khi chia ờ thì quá khứ đơn ta có 2 dạng: bất quy tắc (cột 2 trong bảng động từ bất
quy tắc) và theo quy tắc là chỉ cần thêm “ed” sau động từ.
Quy tắc thêm đuôi “-ED” vào sau động từ theo quy tắc.

1. POSSISSIVE ADJECTIVE (TÍNH TỪ SỞ HỮU)
a. Định nghĩa
Tính từ sở hữu là những từ đứng trước danh từ để cho biết danh từ đó của ai, của cái gì. Chúng ta gọi
nó là tính từ sở hữu vì nó thể hiện tính chất sở hữu của người hoặc vật với danh từ đi sau nó.
b. Bảng đại từ nhân xưng và tính từ sở hữu tương ứng
 Đại từ nhân xưng (Personal pronoun) Tính từ sở hữu (Possessive adjectives) She (Cô ấy) hers (...của cô ấy)
I (Tôi) My (Của tôi) He (Anh ấy) his (...của anh ấy)
You (Bạn, các bạn) Your (Của bạn, của các bạn) It (Nó) its (...của nó)

c. Vị trí trong câu Đây là trường hợp hay gặp nhất của đại từ sở hữu.

Nó luôn đứng trước danh từ mà nó sở hữu và các danh từ này không có mạo từ đi kèm. The book you are reading is mine.

Ex 1: They are my friends. (Họ là bạn của tôi.) (Cuốn sách bạn đang đọc là của tôi.)

Ex 2: Her books are on the table. (Những quyển sách của cô ấy ở trên bàn.) This cell phone is mine.

Ex 3: The dog wags its tail. (Con chó vẫy đuôi của nó.) (Chiếc điện thoại di động này là của tôi.)

2. POSSISSIVE PRONOUNS (ĐẠI TỪ SỞ HỮU) - Đại từ sở hữu đứng sau giới từ

a. Định nghĩa I can deal with my problem but I can’t deal WITH yours.

Đại từ sở hữu là những đại từ dùng để chỉ sự sở hữu. (Mẹ có thể giải quyết vấn đề của mẹ nhưng mẹ không thể giải quyết vấn đề cua con.)

b. Bảng đại từ nhân xưng và tính từ sở hữu tương ứng Lưu ý:

Đại từ nhân xưng (Personal pronoun) Tính từ sở hữu (Possessive adjectives) Đại từ sở hữu còn được dùng trong dạng câu sở hữu kép (double possessive).

7 hi-tech (adj) /haɪ'tek/ công nghệ cao - Thì tương lai đơn diễn tả một dự đoán không có căn cứ.

8 housework (n) /'haʊswɜ:k/ công việc nhà Ex: I think they will not come to the party. (Tôi nghĩ họ sẽ không đến dự tiệC.)

9 location (n) /ləʊ'keɪʃn/ địa điểm - Thì tương lai đơn có thể dùng để đưa ra yêu cầu, đê' nghị, lời mời, lời hứa hoặc một sự đe dọa.

10 look after (v) /lʊk 'ɑ:ftər/ trông nom, chăm sóc Ex 1: Will you go to the cinema with me tonight? (Bạn đi xem phim với tôi tối nay nhé?)
