RESEARCH We conducted a series of surveys to see what our fellow peers

would most connect to when it came to meeting their personal
customer needs. We felt this would be important as we amained
to make an advert that satisfied the target audience that we were
trying to reach. From this point we took onboard the responses
and watched similar videos of adverts from the product we were
also advertising. This was very helpful as it allowed us to a view a
professional example and put into perspective what a
professional standpoint would look like verses what we were
hoping to achieve first-hand.
PLANNING As a group we were able to plan consecutively the different
approaches when it came to the production of the advert, as we
felt overall that we needed to have a strong outline of what we
were hoping to create, just in case we encountered any technical
issues or inability to fulfil certain targets in the later the
production weeks. We very early on planned what type of props
we were ging to use to be the focus point of the advert (who was
going to source it/where) and from this we were able to divide our
attention to the different parts of the advert.
TEAM PLAYER I was an effective team player when it came to completing the
necessary paperwork in a swift and orderly fashion. As a team we
were challenged due to absences, and we weren’t able to ALL
meet together to discuss ideas and the type of routes we were
going to take. I devised the plan to make a Microsoft Teams group
chat so that we could all have better clarity of what we are doing.
PROBLEM SOLVING We encountered many problems when it came to the post-
production of our advert. One of them was the persistent
absences so we weren’t able to all meet together to discuss
ideas/get the clarity or reassurance that everyone knew their
roles.
OWNERSHIP I sat down one evening and committed myself to getting
everything that i needed to get done. This eliminated all further
distractions that I previously had which was restricting me from
further progressing on with reaching higher boundaries.
LEARN AND IMPROVE I have learned about how to effectively reach a target audience
and how to use the turn table to showcase the product that I
wanted. I have improved on using Aftereffects, even though I
didn’t include what I made in the final Tv advert edit, I was still
able to better my knowledge.
MEET DEADLINES We found collectively as a group that we struggled to set
deadlines that we could all commit to, due to long periods of
estranged absences from some people and not being able to
complete all the paperwork set out in a timely manner, which then
prohibited us from having a longer filming bracket. However,
once we were able to come to an agreement on different assigned
‘roles’ to speed up the process, we were able to complete the
paperwork very swiftly. As for the final edit, speaking personally I
was able to complete it and have a mastered copy before the
deadline came to pass. This is more due to my ability/experiences
to edit videos and photos in a timely manner.
