Level 3 Year 1 – Unit 3 Professional Practice for practical project

RESEARCH For primary research I asked some questions using an


online survey to collect qualitative data and opinions from
showing my tv advert.

For secondary research I visited coffee websites like


jimmy’s ice coffee and of course Starbucks, to help me
better understand how an ice coffee website is laid out and
what I need to use to help improve my advert.

PLANNING As a team we planned everything together including the


location of filming, continency plan, the production
schedule, the script and who was bringing in what props.

We needed to work on these so we know who is


responsible for bringing/doing certain things for the
production and made things a lot easier when it came to
actually filming the advert.

TEAM PLAYER During our brainstorming for ideas, I was the one who
suggested we do the advert on ice coffee and also brought
some of the coffees in for the filming.

I was also willing to compromise with other team members


when they suggested thoughts and ideas about what to do
with the advert.

PROBLEM SOLVING We had some problems initially when it came to actually filming
some specific shots. The way we solved this was by getting some
help to film a shot from above which needed someone to stand on
a table to achieve.

OWNERSHIP I was the one who brought in the coffee itself and got the milk
needed to film the advert.

This obviously helped us push on with filming and therefore


finishing the advert.

LEARN AND IMPROVE I have improved my editing skills to a point where I feel
competent enough to put something together, from where I was
the start when I felt a little lost with premiere pro this is a big
improvement for m and one, I’m happy with.

MEET DEADLINES As a team we managed to complete all deadlines set out and
completed the filming with a few weeks to spare this allowed us
to take more time with the editing process and allowed us to the
best off are ability to make a successful advert.
