2. In my presentation, we will talk about the relationship between the media and
democracy, about how the media influence the formation of public opinion and the
information field. This topic is very important for each of us because it concerns
freedom of speech and access to information, which are integral components of
democracy.

public with access to reliable and objective information about various spheres of life,
political processes and events. However, the challenges and threats that may affect
the role of the media in democracy must be addressed by promoting the development
of independent and diverse media, as well as the development of media literacy
among the public to ensure the ability to analyze and distinguish true information
from fake news and manipulation. To ensure the preservation of democracy and
freedom of speech, it is necessary to ensure the protection of the rights of journalists
and other mass media professionals from political pressure and other threats. In
general, understanding the importance of the role of mass media in democracy and
the development of media literacy among the public are key factors in ensuring
freedom of speech and the protection of democratic values.
 ЗМІ відіграють важливу роль у забезпеченні демократії, надаючи

інформацію від фейкових новин та маніпуляцій. Для забезпечення збереження
демократії та свободи слова, необхідно забезпечувати захист прав журналістів
та інших фахівців ЗМІ від політичного тиску та інших загроз. У цілому,
розуміння важливості ролі ЗМІ у демократії та розвиток медіаграмотності у
