To Whom it May Concern,
My name is Kendra Gassman and I am writing in regards to the 5th Grade opening at your district. I am a recent graduate of Dakota State University with a degree in Elementary education. DSU has provided me with the tools necessary to best nurture the young minds of the future. I excel in upper elementary and love developing social-emotional skills along with core curriculum. My past experiences will prove that I am a detailed organizer, a friendly but effective communicator, and strong work ethic. Additionally, DSU has prepared me with innovative technology skills as well as how to implement them within the classroom to stay current with the newest trends and research. I base much of my curriculum teaching on the Constructivism theory -- based on observation. This theory states that people construct their own understanding and knowledge of the world, through experiencing things and recreating those experiences. My classroom would include activities and projects that are based on this theory. Furthermore, I would love to be involved in any extra-curricular activities.
