NARRATIVE REPORT in
GRADE 7 PARENT’S ORIENTATION

The onset of Covid-19 pandemic brought certain changes in the delivery of services of
the private sector and even of the public agencies in the country. The department of Education
is indeed no exception to this. Every school year, it is a tradition that learners are well informed
about the school policies in the face-to-face classroom setting. Since the pandemic, everything
is focused on the safety of everybody while the continuity of learning is still the main goal of
every school.
As part of the DepEd mandate, Iligan City National High School - Tambacan Annex
conducted a Parent’s Orientation last September 13, 2021 to all the Grade 7 parents and
guardians who came to the campus on the first day of the SY 2021 - 2022 through a video
presentation which they viewed before approaching the respective advisers of their children
while minimum health protocol was still observed in the process. The orientation started at
exactly 8:00 in the morning. The viewing was set by batch wherein the first 20 parents were
seated in front of Room 2 and then followed by the next batch and so on.
The video presented the following:
1. Presentation of the Grade 7 teachers with the Principal
2. Explanation of the Modular Distance learning
3. Scheme for the Module distribution
4. Grading System
5. Remediation
6. Bridging Program
7. Parent’s Responsibilities
With the concerted efforts of the teachers involved, the orientation for the parents and
guardians of the Grade 7 was indeed a success.
