Narrative Report on Brigada Pagbasa

The Brigada Pagbasa (BP) as a form of Brigada Pagbasa is an
after-school reading program in response to Hamon: Bawat Bata Bumabasa or All Brigada Eskwela implementers are encouraged to conduct this partnership initiative for reading which serves as a platform to synergize education-related endeavors that immediately addresses literacy and numeracy learning gaps.
This reading advocacy serves as an avenue for all stakeholders
to contribute possible solutions to improve the country’s education system, especially in equipping the learners with 21st century skills. With the successful nationwide implementation last school year, the Brigada Pagbasa shall continue with an aim to engage more education partners and experts to intensify this after-school reading program.
There are activities undertaken during the implementation of the
Brigada Pagbasa. One of which is the construction of Reading Hub in every school and a reading corner in every classroom. Alumni, parents and stakeholders were likewise actively participated the program. At the start of the Brigada Eskwela, this Brigada Pagbasa also started its implementation. The school had its innovation to be able to enthusiastically respond to its call by inviting people to join the program. Pictures below will show its implementation. The Philippine National Police officers assigned to San Juan Police Station visit during the Brigada Eskwela opening and was able to conduct the Brigada Pagbasa as a part of the BE Implementaion.

learner to identify the different symbols during the conduct the Brigada Pagbasa. The School TIC of Urbiztondo Elementary School, Mrs. Gernaline F. Marzo invited learners from Grade 5 to read during the Brigada Pagbasa Implementation.

Elementary School, invited to the principal’s office some learners from different grade levels for remedial reading. As part of the Brigada Pagbasa program, parents are encouraged to take part in the reading program. Each grade level invited some of their parents to read a short story for the learners. This was done during their remedial reading session.
