Guide Question Classroom Observation Report

1. Describe the physical characteristics of the The physical characteristics of the online
online classroom of the Resource Teacher classroom of our resource teacher are describable
and the home learning environment of the by the words systematic, effective and joyful. Our
learners. resource teacher engages the learning process by
first making her student play an online game in
kahoot! And by doing this, I observed that the
pupils became more active after that game. Based
upon my observation, the physical environment
of the classroom itself consists of the learning
material produced by the resource teacher, the
teacher and the learners. Regarding about the
learning environment of the learners, I observed
that they are comfortable because they are in the
vicinity of their homes and they listen carefully
and they answer the questions of their teacher
accordingly.

2. Describe how the learners have learned Arriving first at the aspect of how the learners
(knowledge, competency, emotion, learned through knowledge, every learner during
motivation) in an online classroom and home the class was listening carefully and if asked by
learning environment. their teacher if the understood the topic, they
replied by showing their thumbs-up gesture on
camera or sending the thumbs-up emoji on the
virtual chat.

Competency- regarding about the competency of

the learners in the online classroom and home-
learning environment, every learner where give a
certain activity about creating a plant pot and
according to our resource teacher, all of them
have created their own plant pot and finished all
the tasks that were given and this shows that they
acquired competency because they applied their
knowledge, skills and most specially their attitude
in learning.

Emotion- emotion plays a very important role in

an online classroom and home learning
environment and based upon by my observation,
the teacher engages the emotions of each learner
by relating the topic with the things that the
learners know like foods, bicycle, cars etc.. I also
observed that the lesson was designed to
improve the emotional intelligence of each
learner.

Motivation- Motivating students is very important

for them to have the drive in achieving a certain
goal. What I have observed during the class is that
the learners are motivated in answering
questions because some of them are racing to
answer the questions provided by their teacher
and they are not shy to show what they can do in
front of the class and for us observers.

3. Describe how the Resource Teacher The most iconic thing that the resource teacher
encouraged interaction with his/her learners did to encourage interaction with his/her
students is that, before the discussion she first let

during the scheduled online class. the learners to play an online game in kahoot!
and I observed that when she did this, every
learner was boosted up and became more
attentive and interactive. The resource teacher
always recognizes and appreciates every answer
of the learners by saying words like good job, very
good, that’s correct and I like your answer.

4. Describe the characteristics and behaviors The characteristics of the learners that I observed
of learners during the online class. is they are undeniably intelligent because they
answered questions correctly, very respectful
because if they are asked a question or even in
answering they always say the word ‘’teacher’’ in
every word that they say. Every learner is also
obedient because when the teacher says that
they must only open their microphones if they
are tasked to answer and all of them followed. On
the other hand, the characteristic of the class
itself if well-organized because all of the learners
complied with all the rules that was given.

5. Describe the classroom management, Based upon my observation, the classroom

routines, and strategies employed by your management was very well organized and the
Resource Teacher. topics that were discussed were clear and on
point. The routine of the resource teacher that I
observed was, she first checked the attendance,
engaged the learners to play a certain game and
after that, the discussion started and when the
discussion was finished she reminded the class by
their given tasks and activities so that every
learner will be guided and after that the class was
over. The strategies that were employed during
the class discussion were visualization of the
topic, cooperative learning, differentiation,
behaviour management and professional
development of every learner.
