What pedagogical approaches are employed by physics Teachers in Post-Pandemic Learning

Delivery?
P1 – I do Collaborative pedagogy in order to maximize the teaching and learning process during
class hours.
P2 – Collaborative pedagogy allowed me to be more optimistic about the challenges that exist
within the classroom during the new normal.
P13 – I find it easy to accept the challenges as a physics teacher in the new normal and become
efficient to the students because of a collaborative approach in the classroom.

2. What types of teaching challenges do Physics Teachers experience in Post-Pandemic Classes?

“I was not used to teaching online nor do I have perspectives on how to handle physics class
during the pandemic. I looked for ways to cope up with the changes, but the more that they
made me confused” – P5
“Trainings on how to conduct online classes were not that extensive when the pandemic was on
its peak. Video conferencing was not a thing in my profession prior to the pandemic, so I had to
learn how to use it.” – P8
“It was hard to capture the attention of the students in an online learning environment. I was
not used to it and it was one of the most challenging times of my profession. However, as the
education reverted back to limited face-to-face, my experience gave me a new perspective about
my role” – P15
3. Among the challenges experienced by Physics teachers, which of them are able to turn around
and can be considered a productive struggle?

“At first I found it hard to cope up with technological tools in video conferencing, LMS,
attendance checker, etc.; however, as I moved forward, I realized that it was not that hard to
keep up with technology and it also gave me a broader thought on how technology and
education should work.” – P9

“Being to shy to deal with technology was hard during that time. However, as days went by, I got
used to it. Now I am capable of including technology in all things related to teaching” – P13

“I have been a fan of technology ever since; however, using it for teaching has not been a forte
for me. Therefore, I turned around the challenges and I made this weakness of mine as a
motivation to learn and become more adept in teaching.” – P2

4. What are the factors that enable Physics teachers to turn challenges in post-pandemic classes
into Productive Struggle?
5. In what aspect of pedagogical approaches did you find yourself most struggling? Why?
“Inculcating collaborative learning and teaching through technology is a challenge for me.” – P6
“I find it hard to cope up with the advancement of technology and its role in the new normal
since I was not able to master them when I was studying.” – P10
“It was hard to keep up with the use of collaboration in teaching, especially on the difficult parts
of the Physics class. Most of my students are tech-savvy and I need to cope up with them.” – P1
