PROBLEM STATEMENT
Identifying the most effective method for reducing household
waste management.
OBSERVATION
The researchers observed that they are difficulties in the current
waste management practices in the households.
HYPOTHESIS
Base on our research implementing a composting program in
households will significantly reduce organic waste and overall waste
production.
EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN
A. INDEPENDENT VARIABLES
- The effective method used for reducing household waste
management
B. DEPENDENT VARIABLES
- Effectiveness of the recycling program in reducing household
waste
C. CONTROL VARIABLES
- Recycling bins and Safety gear
D. EXPERIMENTAL GROUP
D.1 Control Group
- Household without access to recycling bins or educational
materials
D.2 Experimental Group
- Household provided with convenient accsess to recycling bins
and educational materials on proper recycling practices
EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE
MATERIALS :
Recycling Bin/Trash bags
Safety gear
Experimental Setup
STEPS:
1.First prepare the materials needed.
2.Wear your safety gear.
3.Take out the mixed trash in the household.
4.Segregate and throw them at their assigned labels.
5.Monitor or check the surroundings if there still trash around
the area.
6.Put some recyclable bins with labels.
DATA COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS
Collecting data on waste generation before and after
implementing the different waste management methods.Analyze the
data to determine which method is most effective in reducing
household waste.
CONCLUSION
Based on our analysis we determined which waste management
method is the most effective based on the evidence collected during
the experimentation.
COMMUNICATION
Share or spread the information to everyone on how to promote
the adoption of effective waste management practices.
FUTURE RESEARCH
Investigate the development of every households if they are
practicing proper waste segregation, such as advanced recycling
processes, waste-to-energy systems, and smart waste management
solutions
