Today we will talk about delivery food. 오늘은 배달 음식에 대해 얘기할 거예요.
And we'll talk about the price of food. 그리고 음식의 가격에 대해 얘기할 거예요.

#What is a late night snack? # 야식이란?
Do you like delivery food? 여러분은 배달 음식을 좋아해요?
I eat delivery food about twice a month. 저는 한 달에 두 번 정도 배달 음식을 먹어요.
There are a lot of delivery foods in Korea. 한국에는 배달 음식이 많아요.
And you can order delivery even late at night. 그리고 늦은 밤에도 배달을 시킬 수 있어요.
That's why Korean people often eat late-night snacks. 그래서 한국 사람들은 야식을 자주 먹어요.
Late night snack refers to food eaten at night. 야식은 ‘밤에 먹는 음식'을 말해요.
People can also order at 12 midnight or 1 am. 밤 12시, 새벽 1시에도 주문할 수 있어요.
So they can easily have a late-night snack. 그래서 밤에 야식을 쉽게 먹을 수 있어요.

#Chicken # 치킨
Korean people's favorite late-night snack is chicken. 한국 사람들이 가장 좋아하는 야식은 치킨이에요.
Everyone likes chicken. 치킨은 모든 사람들이 좋아해요.
I also like it very much. 저도 아주 좋아해요.
There are usually two types of chicken. 치킨은 보통 두 가지 종류가 있어요.
One is fried chicken and the other is seasoned chicken. 하나는 후라이드 치킨이고, 다른 하나는 양념 치킨이에요.
하나는 -고, 다른 하나는 -다. ex) 하나는 펜이고, 다른 하나는 연필이다.
ex) 하나는 사과이고, 다른 하나는 딸기예요.
I like fried chicken, but my husband likes seasoned spicy chicken. 저는 후라이드를 좋아하지만 남편은 양념 치킨을 좋아해요.
So we eat half and half chicken. 그래서 우리는 반반치킨을 먹어요.
Chicken and beer together are really delicious. 치킨과 맥주를 같이 먹으면 정말 맛있어요.

It costs ₩22,000 per a chicken. 치킨 한 마리에 22,000(이만이천)원이에요.
And the delivery fee is ₩3,000. 그리고 배달비가 3,000(삼천)원이에요.
So the total is ₩25,000. 그래서 총 25,000(이만오천)원이에요.
Of course, there are more expensive chickens and cheaper chickens. 물론 더 비싼 치킨도 있고 더 싼 치킨도 있어요.
Prices vary slightly. 조금씩 가격이 달라요.

#Tteokbokk # 떡볶이
And I also like Tteokbokki. 그리고 저는 떡볶이도 좋아해요.
Tteokbokki has levels of spiciness. 떡볶이는 매운맛의 단계가 있어요.
Less spicy - spicy - More spicy - Very spicy 덜 매운맛 - 매운맛 - 더 매운맛 - 아주 매운맛
ex) 덜 짠맛 - 짠맛 - 더 짠맛 - 아주 짠맛
I like ‘MORE spicy’ 저는 ‘더 매운맛’을 좋아해요.
‘VERY spicy’ is delicious, but it's so hot that I have heartburn. ‘아주 매운맛'도 맛있지만 너무 매워서 속이 쓰려요.
Tteokbokki costs ₩14,000. 떡볶이는 14,000(만사천)원이에요.
I like cheese so I add it. 저는 치즈를 좋아해서 추가해요.
Then it’s ₩3,000 more expensive. 그럼 3,000(삼천)원이 더 비싸요.
And the delivery fee is ₩2,000. 그리고 배달비가 2,000(이천)원이에요.
So the total is ₩19,000. 그래서 총 19,000원이에요.
Of course, there are also more expensive tteokbokki, 물론 더 비싼 떡볶이도 있고
and there are cheaper tteokbokki too. 더 싼 떡볶이도 있어요.
The prices are slightly different. 가격이 조금씩 달라요.

#Jokbal (feat.Jaengban-guksu) # 족발 (feat.쟁반국수)
And there is another late-night snack that I like. 그리고 제가 좋아하는 야식이 또 있어요.
It's Jokbal. 바로 족발이에요.
Jokbal means ‘pig’s foot.’ 족발은 ‘돼지의 발’ 이란 뜻이에요.
It is similar to Germany's Schweinhaxen and Thailand's Khao Kamu. 독일의 ‘슈바인학센’, 태국의 ‘카오카무’와 비슷해요.
The Jokbal are not spicy and chewy. 족발은 맵지 않고 쫀득쫀득해요.
It is especially delicious when eaten with Jaengban-guksu. 특히 쟁반국수와 같이 먹으면 정말 맛있어요.
Jaengban-guksu are sweet and sour. 쟁반국수는 새콤달콤해요.
I like Jokbal, but I also like Jaengban-guksu. 저는 족발도 좋아하지만 쟁반국수도 좋아해요.
*Jaengban-guksu = Jumbo Sized Buckwheat Noodles

The set of Jokbal costs ₩28,000. 족발은 세트로 28,000(이만팔천)원이에요.
And the delivery fee is ₩3,000. 그리고 배달비가 3,000(삼천)원이에요.
So the total is ₩31,000. 그래서 총 31,000(삼만천)원이에요.
If you add a side dish here, it becomes more expensive. 여기에 사이드 메뉴를 추가하면 더 비싸져요.
Prices vary slightly. 조금씩 가격이 달라요.

Korean people eat a lot of late-night snacks on Fridays. 한국 사람들은 금요일에 야식을 많이 먹어요.
Because Saturday is a day off. 왜냐하면 토요일은 쉬는 날이기 때문이에요.
Usually Friday is called ‘불금(TGIF/ FriYay!)’. 보통 금요일을 ‘불금’이라고 말해요.
This is a short version of ‘Fiery(불타는) Friday(금요일)’. '불타는 금요일'을 짧게 말한 거예요.
It means ‘We have a day off on Saturday, so let’s have fun.’ ‘토요일은 쉬니까 신나게 놀자’ 라는 뜻이에요.
