pamahalaan o tanggapan kung saan ginawa ang isang akda upang magamit sa
pagkakakitaan ang nasabing akda. Kabilang sa mga maaaring gawin ng nasabing
ahensiya o tanggapan ay ang patawan ng bayad na royalty bilang kondisyon.
Ang mga akda / materyales (mga kuwento, seleksiyon, tula, awit, larawan,
ngalan ng produkto o brand names, tatak o trademarks, palabas sa telebisyon,
pelikula atbp.) na ginamit sa aklat na ito ay sa nagtataglay ng karapatang-ari ng mga
iyon. Pinagtibay sa isang kasunduan ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon at ang
kumakatawan sa paghiling ng pahintulot sa nagmamay-ari ng mga akdang hiniram at
ginamit dito. Hindi inaangkin ng kinakatawan ng tagapaglathala (publisher) at mga

Tungkol Saan ang Modyul na Ito

Ang modyul na ito ay nagsisimula sa pagpakikilala ng paksa at pagpauunawa sa mga

mag-aaral ng halaga ng pagkatuto mula rito sa bahaging Alamin. Sumunod nito ang Subukin
kung saan masusuri ang natututunan kaugnay sa bagong aralin na tatalakayin. Nakabatay sa
nilalaman ng babasahin sa Suriin ang mga paksa ng bahaging Subukin. Sinusundan ito ng
pag-uugnay ng pagkatuto mula sa mga nagdaang modyul at sa kasalukuyang modyul sa
bahaging Balikan.

Ang bahaging Tuklasin ay naglalahad ng bagong aralin sa pamamagitan ng iba’t ibang

gawain. Sa bahaging Suriin naman ay ang pagtatalakay sa mga mahahalaga at mararapat na
matutuhan ng mga mag-aaral upang malinang ang pokus na kompetensi.

Ang bahaging Pagyamanin ay mga gawain na magpapalawak ng natutuhan ng mga

mag-aaral at magbibigay ng pagkakataong mahahasa ang mga kasanayang nililinang.

Ang bahaging Isaisip naman ay magpoproseso ng mahahalagang natutunan sa aralin

at sa bahaging Isagawa naman mailalapat ang mahahalagang natututunan sa mga pangyayari
o sitwasyon sa totoong buhay.

Matutunan natin sa Modyul na ito ang kahalagahan, pamamaraan at pag-iingat sa

paggawa ng abonong organiko.

Mahalagang masunod ang mga pamamaraan sa paggawa ng abonong organiko

upang maging mataba ang lupang taniman at ang mga halaman ay mabuhay, lumago, at
maging malusog.

Tuklasin

• Ang Compost ay isang uri ng pataba (abonong organiko) na nagmumula sa

nabubulok na mga halaman, prutas, pagkain, dumi ng hayop at iba pa.

• Ang Compost pit ay pagsasama-sama ng mga nabubulok na basura katulad ng

dahon, balat ng prutas, damo, mga tirang pagkain, dumi ng hayop at iba pa na
maaaring gawin sa bakanteng lote.

• Kung walang sapat na lugar para sa Compost Pit, maaaring gumawa ng compost
mula sa pinagpatong-patong na mga gulong ng sasakyan.

Gawain II

Upang makagawa tayo ng abonong organiko, dapat na gumawa tayo ng compost pit sa isang
bakanteng lugar at kung walang sapat na lugar ay maaari tayong gumawa ng compost mula sa
pinagpatong-patong na mga lumang gulong ng sasakyan.

Panuto: Batay sa mga larawan, sumulat ng tig-isang pangungusap tungkol sa paraan ng

paggawa ng abonong organiko sa loob ng kahon. Pagkatapos ay pagsunod-sunurin
ang mga pamamaraan sa pamamagitan ng pagsulat ng bilang 1-5 sa bilog.

1. Napabubuti nito ang kalidad o uri ng lupang pagtataniman.

2. Napalulusog nito ang paglaki ng mga pananim.
3. Ito ay mura at ligtas gamitin.

• Narito ang mga pamamaraan sa paggawa ng abonong organiko gamit ang compost
pit at lumang gulong ng mga sasakyan.

Mga Pamamaraan sa Paggawa ng Compost Pit:

1. Gumawa ng hukay na may isang metro ang lalim sa lugar na tuyo, patag, at
malayo-layo sa bahay.
2. Ilatag sa loob ng hukay ang mga nabubulok na bagay tulad dahon, gulay, prutas, at
pagkain hanggang umabot ng 30sm ang taas.
3. Patungan ito ng mga dumi ng hayop.
4. Patungan ito muli ng lupa, abono, o apog.
5. Paulit-ulit na gawin ang pagtatambak hanggang sa mapuno ang hukay.
6. Diligan ang ibabaw araw-araw.
7. Palipasin ang dalawang buwan o higit pa bago gamitin.

Gamit ang mga Lumang Gulong:

1. Maghanda ng mga gulong na maaaring iresaykel.

2. Ilagay rito ang mga nabubulok na bagay tulad ng dahon, prutas, gulay, at mga
tirang pagkain.
3. Lagyan muli ng lupa at diligin.
4. Takpan ng dahon ng saging o yero upang hindi langawin.
5. Gawin ang proseso hanggang mapuno ang lalagyan.
6. Palipasin ang dalawang buwan bago gamitin.

• Ang abono ay mahalaga sa mga pananim dahil pinagyayaman nito ang lupa na

pananim. Nararapat na tayo ay may kaalaman sa paggawa ng abonong organiko sa
pamamagitan ng composting.

• Ang abonong organiko ang higit na iminumungkahi dahil ito ay ligtas at mura.
