Method Statement
Responsibilities :
Maraba Al-Iraq will undertake the responsibilities for the management of this lifting operation as defined in the British Standard (BS 7121-
3:2000) for the lifting and movement of goods involving mobile crane operation.
Sequence of operation (step by step) :
 One lifting supervisor, two rigger, one banksman, one mobile crane operator.
 Lifting supervisor and lifting team review the lifting plan and risk assessment.
 Lifting supervisor to check all lifting accessories and ensure the color code.
 Under instructions of lifting supervisor, mobile crane operator position the mobile crane in the correct distance and outrigger pads
are placed on the ground under outriggers as per mobile crane position drawing.
 Under instructions of lifting supervisor, rigger and banks man put caution tape around the operation area.
 The rigger to attach the webbing slings to the load and rig the webbing slings to the mobile crane hook block then connected
together as per the drawing and under the instruction of the supervisor.
 The banksman to instruct the mobile crane operator to lift the load slowly to getting the tension of the webbing slings and check the
centerline of the hook block.
 The rigger to attach the tag line to the load.
 The banksman to instruct the mobile crane operator to lift the load slowly to check the stability of the load. If everything is accepted
that proceed to forward.
 The banksman to instruct the mobile crane operator to lower the load slowly on truck or ground.
 The banksman to instruct the rigger to release the webbing slings.
