Cách 2: Thêm “If you” vào đầu câu và thay “dấu phẩy” vào OR, rồi thêm/bỏ NOT vào mệnh đề CHÍNH.

Ex1: Get up early or you will be late for school. Ex2: Be careful or you will get bad marks.
Cách 1: If you don’t get up early, you will be late for school. Cách 1: If you are not careful, you will get bad marks.
Cách 2: If you get up early, you will not be late for school. Cách 2: If you are careful, you will not get bad marks.

2. Viết lại câu với IF2 (chỉ 1 cách) khi tình huống đề cho ở thì hiện tại am/is/are (not); Vo/s/es
(don’t/doesn’t +Vo)
Bước 1: Ta phải bỏ các liên từ kết nối như
+ so, and that’s why,…….
+ because (đem mệnh đề because ra đầu câu ngay sau if)
Bước 2: Thêm/bỏ NOT vào cả 2 mệnh đề (để làm trái ngược với tình huống đề cho)
Bước 3: Áp dụng công thức IF 2
If2 + S + V2ed (didn’t + Vo)…., S + would/could (not) + Vo ……………..

Ex1: She doesn’t have much money so she can’t buy that villa. Ex2: I will not help you because I am very busy.
→ If she had much money, she could buy that villa. → If I were not very busy, I would help you.

3. Viết lại câu với IF3 (chỉ 1 cách) khi tình huống đề cho ở thì quá khứ was/were (not); V2ed (didn’t +Voo)
Bước 1: Ta phải bỏ các liên từ kết nối như
+ so, and that’s why,…….
+ because (đem mệnh đề because ra đầu câu ngay sau if)
Bước 2: Thêm/bỏ NOT vào cả 2 mệnh đề (để làm trái ngược với tình huống đề cho)
Bước 3: Áp dụng công thức IF 3
If3 + S + had (not) + V3ed …., S + would/could/might (not) + have + V3ed

Ex1: He was very poor and that’s why he didn’t go to school Ex2: I couldn’t lend you because I left it home.
→ If he hadn’t been very poor, he could have gone to school. → If I hadn’t left it home, I could have lent you.

4. Viết lại câu với UNLESS: IF….NOT… = UNLESS + KHẲNG ĐỊNH

• don’t + Vo → Vo
• doesn’t + Vo → Vs/es
• didn’t + Vo → V2/ed
• am/is/are/was/were – not
• have/has/had- not- V3ed ➔ CHỈ CẦN BỎ “NOT”
• will /can/may –not
Ex1: If she doesn’t get up early, she will be late for school. → Unless she gets up early, she will be late for school.
