Let us now proceed to our topic which is about the Political, Economic, Sociological
and Technical (PEST analysis) framework in the Macro Environment
B. Lesson Proper
Activity
The teacher will conduct an activity. The students will be grouped in to two. The first
group will have a brainstorming on the Political and Economic aspect of the Macro
Environment and consolidate their answers. Meanwhile, the second group likewise
will also have a brainstorming on the Sociological and Technical aspect of the Macro
Environment and consolidate their answers.
Afterwards, the students will then take turns writing their consolidated answers
through a boardwork. They will then try to answer the following guide questions:
1. What can you say about your classmates’ answers about their PE and ST
analysis?
2. Are they true or do you think they are far from what will happen in the
future or is it already happening at present?
3. How do you feel when you read your classmates’ PE and ST analysis?
4. Do you think PE and ST analysis is necessary in sustaining the macro
environment?
5. How will you work on sustaining your future company with the help of the
PEST analysis framework in the macro environment?
To activate the learners’ prior ideas on PEST analysis framework, they will have
another activity.
This time, they are going to come up with a single answer through a single graphic by
the aid of google-searched images. By the use of a powerpoint, they will present to
the class why they have chosen such graphic about PEST analysis framework and
shall explain and justify their answers.
Analysis
The teacher will discuss about PEST analysis framework in the macro environment.
The teacher will be asking the students with related questions about regarding their
observations of the Political, Economic, Sociological and Technological in the macro
environment and their relationship with everyone around them in the whole
community.
Abstraction
The teacher will solicit ideas from the participants using Socratic Method or Guided
Inquiry Learning Approach.
Application
Now that the learners have ideas about PEST analysis framework in the macro
environment, using the same grouping, the students will come up with their own
concept on the PEST analysis framework in a classroom setting.
