called as the “if- clause” which happens to be the one of the parts of the kind
of sentence we called as CONDITIONAL SENTENCES. These sentences express a
condition (if-clause) and its consequence. There are four kinds but, in this
module, let’s focus first on the first two kinds: Zero and First Conditionals.

First vs. Zero Conditional: The first conditional describes a particular


situation, whereas the zero conditional describes what happens in

generalization and sun, you get burned. (here I'm talking about every time a person sits in
abstractions about the sun - the burning is a natural consequence of the sitting) But (first
