On our previous topic about reproductive system, we talked
about the changes that happened on your body during your
puberty, right?
Some of you says, their voice change, their hips are widened,
and some of you girls experienced having a menstruation, and
all of you says that you started to have a pubic hair, and so
many more.

Are you still curious or now aware of what is responsible for


those changes?

Related to that, we also tackled about the hormones produced


by the female and male reproductive glands, right?

What do you call the sex hormones produced by males? How Testosterone in male
about in females? Estrogen and Progesterone in

Instructions:
• Show some pictures to the students. Present it one at

Those hormones play an important role in both male and


female reproductive systems. With the help of
hypothalamus, the pituitary gland controls the function of
both testes and ovaries. And these hormones keep the
reproductive system function well.

Note:
Adolescents are vulnerable to premarital sex like your age
because at this stage your sexual hormones are starting to
develop. You become more curious about your physical
changes such as the shaped of your body, change of your
voice and even your sex drive. Therefore, these hormones
drive you to be more sexually driven to your opposite sex
and of the same sex.

Having sexual intercourse with their opposite sex are


widespread among adolescents. Some of them don’t know
how to handle such situations that may lead to early
pregnancy and to acquire diseases such as STI’s and HIV.
However, there are some circumstances that pushes
individual to engage into sex. Thus, the need to learn how
to negotiate for safer sex or use of contraceptives is highly
advisable.

(STDs) among teenagers.
