Aim: Assembling and installing fluorescence lamp.

Procedure

TASK 1: ASSEMBLING OF FLOUROSCENT LAMP WITH ITS ACCESSORIES.

 Check the choke for its short and open with test lamp(in fig 1).

In order to check the choke; we follow following condition:

SL/NO INDICATE THE CONDITION OF

RESULT CHOKE
1 Lamp glows Internal short circuit
2 Dim Good condition
3 Not a glow even after Open circuit in the
checking the lead and lamp circuit
THE POSSIBILITY OF RESULT OBSERVED IS THAT
THE LAMP GLOWS IN DIM, WHICH IS THE
INDICATION OF GOOD CONDITION.
 Check the starter with series test lamp as shown in fig 2. We will observe the flickering
of lamp which indicates good condition of starter.

 Then we go for assembling fluorescent tube accessories in the fitting base as shown in the
fig 3.

 .Connect the accessories as shown in the fig4 for single tube light and also install the
tested starter.

 Test the filament on both sides of the fluorescence tube for its continuity as shown in
fig5. Then discard the fluorescence tube with open or fused filament in either side
 Now fix the bulb in the holder.
1. We should make sure that inner part of holder is in proper position and then go for
inserting the both the ends of the fittings on either side of the tube.(fig 6)
2. Push the socket pins to the fitting.
