• We use planning tools in carpentry works to smoothing

the rough wood surface. A special hand plane is used
for specific work. You need not so many planes to build
nice furniture; you only need some of them. Mainly
they have two parts sharpened metal plate and body.
The body can be made of wood, metal or mix of both.
CUTTING TOOLS

• Cutting tools are tools used to remove material from a

workpiece in the form of chips. They are used in a wide
range of manufacturing and machining processes, such
as drilling, milling, turning, and grinding. The selection
of cutting tools is crucial to the efficiency and quality of
the machining process.
SAW

• A saw is a tool consisting of a tough blade, wire, or

chain with a hard toothed edge. It is used to cut through
material, very often wood though sometimes metal or
stone. The cut is made by placing the toothed edge
against the material and moving it forcefully forth and
less forcefully back or continuously forward.
