dân làng Vũ Đại. Chí Phèo trong một lần uống rượu say đã gặp Thị Nở – một người phụ nữ
xấu “ma chê quỷ hờn”, hai người đã có tình cảm với nhau và Chí Phèo cảm động khi được
Thị Nở chăm sóc và đút cho ăn bát cháo hành. Trong thâm tâm Chí Phèo muốn trở về một
người lương thiện và sống chung với Thị Nở nhưng thật
