meters long and 120 wide. There are 3 ways that you can
move the ball. Handball, Drop Kicking, and Bouncing the
ball. You can run with the ball, but you have to bounce the
ball every 16 yards or 10-12 steps. We will learn all 3 in

● Bouncing
o Bouncing is essential for running with the ball.
o Hold the ball horizontally or flat with the laces facing the

● Drop Kicking
o Kicking is the only way of scoring in the game. They have
to kick the ball in between the poles. There are 4 poles, 2
tall poles that are in the middle and 2 small poles that are
outside the tall poles. When you kick in between the two
tall poles, it is 6 points. If it goes in between a tall pole and
a small pole, it is worth 1 point. If they hit the pole, it is 1
point
o Get students to get in a flat line facing the poles
o Hold the ball with two hands, point the ball downwards
with the pointy end pointing down to the ground, ensure
that the laces are facing where they want the ball to go.
Step with non dominant foot, drop the ball, don't let it drop

● How many yards can you run with the ball before bouncing?

● Tell students that we will play a modified game the next class
Stage 4: Reflection
Day 1 of teaching went really well! All the students were engaged with activities and were having fun! I’m
creating a fun and supportive environment for everyone by making people become demonstrators and giving
the volunteers a clap to make them feel good! The classes seemed short and I didn’t get to show them the
banana kick, but I will next time
