What architecture does in bringing qualities closer together
through the language of architecture, and the beauty of the
language in its vocabulary, gives its product beauty, that
has purpose and goals.
Therefore, the difference in ideas does not make man able
to perceive ideas and make mental images of opinions that
are very contrary to reality and may be contrary to his
perceptions of his society. A passion for knowledge of
architecture helps to learn, increases satisfaction at work,
and choice prevents the architecture from exhausting its
energy in shaping its product.

The architect is also able to determine what threatens his


life, so that he can come up with an architecture that
increases his security and safety, there is no concern in him,
no summons for failed experiments, and this is what his
mind does in avoiding one thing and sticking to something
else.
When architect is determining to meet the needs of a
human being, overreach increases the anxiety and tension
of a society waiting for it, and a concern about disrupting
the user's behavior. No matter how many architecture
options you have, first try to find your architecture. And
you hope for the vast universe, and you know what you see,
architecture will be a shadow of man resting.

superficial vision. To take ideas into account and the truth
in architecture through, a look at architectural output, or the
search for evidence in truth and consideration.

When the architect is forced to do what he does not want,


from his product or the product of society. To force a
particular product, it is a case of having to do it directly at

architecture and the desire to produce it, and there is no

As for the effort of the architect to enter the field of


creativity, in breaking the barriers of distance between
consciousness and the unconscious and expressing its
secrets and reservoirs, in products that are inseparable from
man and see his values, morals and feelings. Beauty needs
to pave the way for freedom of thought and sensory
attachment. Architecture has a thought for a new, renewed,
and happy world.
We conclude that the qualities of beauty and ugliness
differ in architectural output, between external qualities
outside of acts and their judgment, or internal qualities in
acts that make them good or ugly. Or between subjective
qualities of government and ruler, and between objective
qualities associated with the actor and the effect.

When the architect looks for a method of the movement of
thought, there are those who look for ideas, others discuss
events, and others interfere in the affairs of architecture, it
is not new in their output. It is only in the architecture of
the past that it is a lesson from which we benefit from a
source, and today's architecture gives us experience in
keeping up with an era, and the architecture of the future is
a necessary step. To show a method of intellectual
movement in considerations, through exposure to the
subject of architecture and its concepts, purpose, and
consideration, and to take advantage of the specificity of
the beneficiary of the product and its dealings with it.
Multiple images of architecture are also illustrated by the
equation of its subject and its concept, where the thesis of
architect, in dealing with the products of architecture,
ranges from changing the ratio between ideas and
formations, leaving them, reversing them, or contrasting
them and reversing them.
We'll find out from him what it's going to take to do. It
shows those who do not make a mistake in building their
product, as it shows what the architect cannot do, and
whoever does not make a mistake, he cannot make a

When the architecture movement is based on isolating
partial ideas and productions from their overall patterns to
which they belong, or are perceptions in selected words and
actions to achieve their prior purpose, or products based on
taste, wonder and desire,
On the one hand, the knowledge, cultural and social
system has been transformed into a complex of underage
and productive outcomes that frequently abuse human
production in its place and time, and on the other hand, it
does not respond to the requirements of life. This made the
dissonance clear between the directions of architecture and
its currents, revolutionary or conservative, or between
them.
Their outputs have made a weakness in distinguishing
between the real and the unreal. Architect and its society
live there and believe in different realities, as they offer
agreement on part of the external reality.

curriculum and dealing with reality as fragmentation and
selection, isolated from their natural frameworks, means a
conflict between domestic and foreign trends.

"Philosophy and Architecture", whose subjects have had the
greatest impact on the growth of scientific knowledge in
architecture theories and philosophy.

purposes and principles, parts, and all, to reach an
architecture that has occurred, to verify the barrier between
them and the limit defined for them, or to show the idea of
the product and its physical composition. And what the
product represents, and its authority in the central region,

human cognitive experience and the data formed on its
subject matter. While the architect movement is one of its

teaching movement of research work specializing in the

Preface
This book is a lecture given by the author, in a series of
lectures to doctoral students, in the Department of
Architecture Engineering, Baghdad/Iraq, at the University
of Technology, as part of the architecture philosophy
subject for the academic year 2018-2019, the sixth lecture
entitled "Architecture between mind and perception", on
5/11/2018, in the program "Architecture as I see it".

Then he seemed to change the title of the lecture to turn


into a book entitled "Perception in the Architecture of the
Mind",
With new additions to it required by the nature of the
subject as a book and not as many lectures and brief
interventions, and the expression of the content of the new
title, with the investment of the author's effort, in the study
and analysis of architecture in both cognitive and mental
aspects, through other books in which he wrote about the
theories and philosophy of architecture.
