CÂU ĐIỀU KIỆN

Mệnh đề If Mệnh đề chính
If + S + V (hiện tại đơn) S + will + V(inf)
Cấu trúc viết lại sử dụng Unless:
V+……. + or +S +will/won’t+V+……. .
= Unless S +V+…. , S+will/won’t+V+……
= If S don’t/doesn’t + V, S+will/won’t+V+……
Ex:
Study hard or you will fail the exam. = Unless you study hard , you will fail the exam.
= If you don’t study hard , you will fail the exam.
youdon’t write)
Command (Thức mệnh lệnh)
If + S + V(s-es), V(mệnh lệnh)+ . . . . . .
Ex:
- If you go to the Post Office, mail this letter for me.
- Please call me if you hear anything from Jane.

If + S + V-ed S + would + V
(Quá khứ đơn) (dạng 1 lùi thì)

*Note: Động từ to be phải chia là were ở tất cả các ngôi.

Ex:
-If I were rich, I would travel around the world.
- If I had money, I would buy the car.
- If I were you, I wouldn't see that movie.

If + S + had + V-PII S + would + have + V-PII

(Quá khứ hoàn thành) (Dạng 2 lùi thì)

Ex:
-If I hadn’t been in a hurry, I wouldn’t have had an accident.
- If I had had money, I would have bought the car.
- If I had worked harder I could have passed the exam. (But I didn’t work hard, and I
didn’t pass the exam.
* Chú ý:
Eg:
- Had we known that you were there, we would have written you a letter.
- Had he studied harder for the test, he would have passed it.

“unless” thay cho “if not…”
Ví dụ:
 I will buy you a new laptop if you don’t let me down. => I will buy you a
laptop unless you let me down.
 I will go to Cao Bang tomorrow if it doesn’t rain. => I will go to Cao Bang
tomorrow unless it rains.
 If aspirin will ease my headache, I will take a couple tonight.
 If you will take me to the park at 9 a.m, I will wake you up at 8 a.m.
 If I will have English lesson this afternoon, I will book a grab to school now.
 If I had reviewed for the exam, I would not have got mark D! => I wish I had
reviewed for the exam. => I would rather I had reviewed for the exam.
 If I had gone to that party, I could have met her. => I wish I had gone to that
party. => I would rather I had gone to that party.
