orientation.
To develop confidence and perseverance in solving mathematical problems.
To enhance their ability to manipulate numbers and patterns effectively.
A. Daily Routine
1. Prayer
2. Greeting
3. Checking of Attendance
B. Priming
1. Recall: Review previous lessons on patterns and sequences.
2. Motivation: Show real-life examples of patterns and their significance in various fields.
C. Activity
1. Introduction:
Present examples of continuous patterns with two attributes orientation.
Discuss the importance of identifying patterns and their elements.
2. Guided Practice:
Provide students with pattern cards or sequences with missing terms.
Guide students through the process of identifying the pattern and determining the
missing terms.
Encourage students to discuss their thought process and strategies with peers.
3. Independent Practice:
Distribute worksheets with various pattern problems.
Allow students to work individually or in pairs to solve the problems.
Circulate the classroom to provide assistance and feedback as needed.
D. Analysis
Review solutions to the pattern problems as a class.
Discuss different approaches and strategies used by students.
Clarify any misconceptions and reinforce key concepts related to identifying patterns.
E. Abstraction
Summarize the steps involved in determining missing terms in continuous patterns.
Emphasize the importance of observation and logical reasoning in problem-solving.
Generalization
Relate the concept of continuous patterns to real-world scenarios.
Discuss how recognizing patterns can help in making predictions and solving problems
efficiently.
F. Application
Assign homework tasks that require students to identify patterns in their surroundings and
determine missing terms.
Encourage students to apply their understanding of patterns in different contexts, such as
mathematics, science, and daily life.
