LESSON PLAN IN HOMEROOM GUIDANCE 2


(March 11, 2024 W6 D1)

I. Objective
 To identify and evaluate different problem-solving strategies involving oneself and
others.
 To develop empathy and understanding towards others' perspectives in problem-solving
situations.
 To practice effective communication and collaboration skills in resolving problems with
others.

II. Subject Matter


Topic: Different Ways of Problem-Solving Involving Oneself and Others
a. References: Homeroom Guidance 2 Curriculum Guide
b. Materials: Whiteboard, markers, handouts, case scenarios
c. Integration: Mathematics (utilizing logical thinking in problem-solving), English
(communication skills), Values Education (empathy and cooperation)

III. Procedure
A. Introduction
1. Preliminary activities
a. Prayer: Begin with a prayer for guidance and understanding.
b. Greetings: Greet the students and create a welcoming atmosphere.
c. Setting of Standard: Discuss the importance of respectful participation and active
engagement in the lesson.

Motivation and Motive tandem questions


 Pose questions such as:
 Have you ever encountered a problem that involved both yourself and others?
 How did you approach solving that problem?
 Why is it important to consider others' perspectives when solving problems?

B. Modeling
 Present a scenario where a problem arises involving oneself and others.
 Model different problem-solving strategies, emphasizing the importance of
communication, cooperation, and empathy.
Generalization
 Facilitate a discussion to generalize the different problem-solving strategies observed in
the modeling.
 Encourage students to share their insights and reflections on the importance of
considering others in problem-solving.

C. Guided Practice
 Divide the class into groups:
 Group 1: Role-play a problem-solving scenario using a collaborative approach.
 Group 2: Brainstorm and list down various problem-solving strategies involving
oneself and others.
 Group 3: Analyze a case scenario and propose possible solutions considering the
perspectives of all involved parties.

D. Independent Practice
 Assign individual tasks:
 Write a reflection journal entry on a personal experience where problem-solving
involved oneself and others.
 Create a poster or infographic highlighting effective problem-solving strategies in
collaborative situations.
