KITCHREE

INGREDIENTS
1cup rice
1cup dhal
3tsp haldi powder
Salt to taste
1 onion sliced finely
2tbsp butter
1tsp jeera seeds
1 dry chilli

METHOD
1. Soak rice and dhal in a pot .
2. Add haldi and salt and boil until soft
3. In a frying pan add some butter and braise with onion
dry chilli and cumin seeds .
4. Add to pot Can be served with plain tomato chutney or
dry fish chutney with pickles and papads
