요즘 한국은 날씨가 정말 추워졌어요. 얼마 전에 첫눈도 왔답니다. 여러분이 있는 곳은 날씨가 어때요?
오늘은 한국의 겨울 간식에 대해 이야기해볼까 해요. 겨울은 ‘달콤한 디저트’ 가 사랑을 받는 시기예요.
왜냐하면 한국의 추운 날씨 때문에 열량소모가 많아지기 때문이에요. 그리고 실내에서 활동하는 시간이
길어지면서 간식을 많이 찾게 되기 때문이기도 해요. 자 그럼 한국의 겨울 간식을 하나씩 이야기해 볼까요?
첫번째 한국의 겨울 간식은 붕어빵! 붕어빵은 안에 팥이 들어 있는 물고기 모양의 빵이에요. 겨울에만
볼 수 있는 간식이랍니다. 겨울이 춥지만 겨울이 기다려지는 이유 중 하나예요. 바삭한 빵과 그 안에
따뜻한 팥의 조합 때문에 남녀노소에게 사랑받을 수밖에 없는 맛이란 생각이 들어요. 50~60 년대에
유행하던 붕어빵은 한동안 모습을 찾기 힘들다가 90 년대에 다시 길거리에서 많이 찾아볼 수 있게
되었어요. 그리고 겨울에 붕어빵 판매대가 집 근처에 있으면 붕어빵+역세권의 뜻으로 붕세권이라는
말도 생겼답니다.
두번째 겨울 간식은 호떡이에요. 호떡은 안에 달콤한 설탕과 견과류가 들어있는 일종의
팬케익이에요. 호떡도 대표적인 겨울철 길거리 간식 중 하나인데 요즘에는 가장 기본적인 견과류
호떡뿐아니라 치즈 호떡, 피자 호떡 등 다양한 맛의 호떡을 파는 곳도 생겼어요. 저는 호떡이랑
바닐라 아이스크림을 같이 먹는 것을 좋아하는데 꼭 한번 먹어보세요.
세번째 간식은 호빵이에요. 반달모양의 통통한 빵이에요. 기본적으로 하얀색이지만 가끔 다른 색의
호빵도 볼 수 있어요. 주로 편의점에서 찾을 수 있는데 호빵을 따뜻하게 데워서 판매하고 있답니다.
겉모양은 다 비슷하지만 안에 팥, 야채, 카레, 고구마 등이 들어가서 한끼 식사로도 든든한
간식이랍니다. 호빵은 사실 브랜드의 상표명이라고 해요. ‘온 가족이 호호 불며 먹는다’는 뜻으로 한
식품 회사에서 만든 제품이지만, 이제는 전국적으로 호빵이라는 이름으로 불리고 있죠. 그런데 만두
가게에서 찐빵이라고 판매를 하기도 해요. 한국 사람들 사이에서는 빵 아래 종이가 붙어있는지
없는지에 따라 종이가 있으면 호빵 없으면 찐빵이라고 한답니다.
네번째 겨울 간식은 군고구마와 군밤이에요. 겨울 간식의 꽃이라 불리는 군고구마와 군밤!
군고구마와 군밤은 맛 뿐만이 아니라 차가운 바람이 부는 겨울에 손난로 역할까지 해주는 둘도 없는
길거리 음식입니다. 군고구마는 요즘 기계에 넣고 굽거나 에어 프라이어에도 굽지만 가장 맛있는 건
철로 된 통 안에서 불로 굽는 것이 가장 맛있어요. 군밤도 고구마와 비슷하게 밤을 굽는 건데 삶은
밤보다 더 달콤해서 정말 맛있어요.
다섯번째 겨울 간식은 어묵꼬치예요. 어묵꼬치는 일본에서 건너온 음식이라고 할 수 있지만 한국의
길거리 음식이 된지 오래되었어요. 어묵꼬치는 겨울이 아니라도 떡볶이와 함께 늘 볼 수 있어요.
하지만 추운 겨울에 따뜻한 어묵을 간장에 찍어서 먹고 각종 야채와 해산물로 우려낸 뜨거운 어묵
국물을 한잔 마시면 온몸이 따뜻해지는 기분이랍니다.
마지막 겨울 간식은 팥죽이에요. 팥으로 만든 죽인데 덜 달게 쌀이 들어간 것도 있고 설탕을 좀 더
넣어서 더 달게 만든 것도 있답니다. 한국에는 ‘동지’라는 날에 팥죽을 먹는 풍습이 있어요. 그래서
겨울에 전라도식 팥죽인 팥칼국수를 먹기도 해요. 팥칼국수는 팥죽에 국수 면이 들어있는 것이에요.
팥칼국수는 따뜻하고 부드럽고 고소하면서 살짝 달달한 맛이 나는, 겨울과 딱 맞는 음식이라고
생각해요.

loved. Because it consumes more calories because of the cold weather in Korea. And it's also
because we find a lot of snacks as we spend a lot of time indoors. Let’s talk about winter snacks
in Korea?
The first winter snack in Korea is bungeoppang! Bungeoppang is a fish-shaped bread with red
beans inside. It's a snack that you can only see in winter. The one of the reasons that we wait for
winter even winter is cold. Because of the combination of crispy bread and warm red beans inside,
I think it's a taste that can only be loved by men and women of all ages. Bungeoppang, which
was popular in the 50s and 60s, was hard to find for a while, but in the 90s, it became common
on the streets. And if the bungeoppang stand is near the house in winter, there is also a word
called bungeoppang + a station area, It means there's a bungeoppang cart near my house.
The second winter snack is hotteok. Hotteok is a kind of pancake with sweet sugar and nuts
inside. Hotteok is one of the representative winter street snacks, and these days, there are places
that sell not only the most basic nut hotteok but also various flavors such as cheese hotteok and
pizza hotteok. I like to eat hotteok and vanilla ice cream together, so you should try it also!
The third snack is hoppang. It's a chubby half-moon shaped bread. It's basically white, but
sometimes you can see other colors of hoppang. You can usually find it in convenience stores, but
they sell steamed buns warm. Although they all look similar in appearance, they have red beans,
vegetables, curry, and sweet potatoes inside, so it's a good snack for a meal. Hoppang is actually
the brand name of a brand. It's a product made by a food company that means "the whole family
blows and eats," but it's now called hoppang nationwide. That's why they sell steamed buns at
dumpling stores. Korean people say that if there is paper under bread, it is called hoppang.
but if there is no paper it is called Jjinppang(steamed bun).
The fourth winter snack is roasted sweet potatoes and roasted chestnuts. Roasted sweet potatoes
and roasted chestnuts, called the flowers of winter snacks! Roasted sweet potatoes and roasted
chestnuts are the best street foods that not only taste but also serve as hand warmers in cold
windy winter. Roasted sweet potatoes are baked in a machine or in an air fryer these days, but the
most delicious thing is to grill them over fire in an iron container. Roasted chestnuts are grilled
similar to sweet potatoes, but they are sweeter than boiled chestnuts, so they are really delicious.
The fifth winter snack is fish cake skewers. Fishcake skewers can be said to have been entered
from Japan, but they have long been street food in Korea. long time. You can always see fish cake
skewers with tteokbokki even if it's not winter. However, if you eat warm fish cakes dipped in soy
sauce in cold winter and drink a cup of hot fish cake soup made with various vegetables and
seafood, your whole body feels warm.
The last winter snack is red bean porridge. It's a porridge made of red beans, but there are some
with less sweet rice, and some with more sugar to make it sweeter. In Korea, there is a custom of
eating red bean porridge on the day of 'Dongji'. That's why we eat red bean noodle soup, which
is Jeolla-do style red bean porridge, in winter. Red bean noodle soup is a noodle with red bean
porridge. I think red bean noodle soup is warm, soft, savory, and slightly sweet, perfect for winter.
