Meeting Time 1 - Bakit kailangan nating matutong kilalanin ang mga numero?
Competencies:
Identify the sounds of letters orally given (LLKPA-Ig-1)
Identify several words that begin with the same sound as
the spoken word (LLKPA-Ig-7)
Work Period 1 Identify the letters of the alphabet (mother tongue,
7:50am-8:35am orthography) (LLKAK –IH-3)
Match the letter sound to its letter form (LLKAK-Ih-5)
Name objects that begin with a particular letter of the
alphabet (LLKV-00-5)
Procedure:
1. Show words that begin with Y.
2. Show the letter Yy.
3. Show the learners how to write Yy.
4. Give examples of words that begin with /y/.
5. Ask the learners to give the sound of /y/.
6. Ask the learners for other words that begin with /y/.
7. Show different pictures of words that begin with different
letters.
8. Say the name of each picture and ask if it begins with
the /y/ sound.
9. Show a pair of pictures, one begins with /y/ and another
begins with another letter sound
10. Ask the learners to choose which word begins with /y/.

Procedure:
1.Learners get a writing paper and writing implement.
2.Learners trace the letters.
3.Learners try to write the letters on their own.

Transition to The teacher reminds the learners about the time left in Work
Meeting Time 2 Period Time 1 around 15 minutes before Meeting Time 2. After
10 minutes, the teacher tells the learners to start packing away
the materials they used and be ready for Meeting Time 2. A
transition song or a countdown may be used.
Questions/Activity Let the learners present their work. Afterwards, encourage them
to sing the song “/y/, /y/, /y/ ang tunog ng Yy (in the tune of
Meeting Time 2 phonics song by Patty Shukla
8:35am-8:45am Transition to The teacher commends the learners for the work they did in Work
Supervised Recess Period Time 1 and tells them to prepare for recess time/health
break by sanitizing their hands.

8:45am-9:00am Transition to Quiet After their health break, the teacher reminds the children to pack
Time away the things they used during recess time, clean up their
eating area, throw their trash in the trash bin, sanitize their
hands, and have their Quiet Time.
Transition to Story While singing a transition song, the teacher “wakes” the
Time learners up and tells them that it’s time to listen to a story. When
Quiet Time the learners are ready, the teacher proceeds with the pre-reading
activities and makes sure that the learners are listening

Rote count up to 20 (MKSC-00-12)
Competencies:
Count objects with one-to-one correspondence up to quantities of
20 (MKC-00-7)
Materials: 20 small bags (one bag has 1 item, one has 2 items,
one has 3 items… up to 20 items), small items from school
that can fit in the bag, pen, paper
Procedure:
1.Ask the learners to choose one bag.
2.Empty the bag and let the learners count the items.
3.Let the learners to count the number of items.
4.Let the learners write the number on the piece of paper.
Competencies:
Compare two groups of objects to decide which is more or less,
or is they are equal (MKC-00-8)
Competencies:
Match numerals to a set of concrete objects from 0 to 10 (MKC-
00-4)
Nakapagmomolde ng luwad (clay) sa nais na anyo (SKMP-00-6)
Procedure:
1.Give the learners playdough mats and playdough.
2.Ask them to make numeral 0-20 and make enough objects
to match the numerals

● Read and write numerals 0 to 10 (MKC-00-3)
● Count objects with one-to-one correspondence up to quantities
of 10 (MKC-00-7)
Procedure:
1. Ask the learners to match the number on the left with the
correct numbers of yema on the right.
Competencies:
Nagagamit ang mga kilos na lokomotor at di-lokomotor sa
paglalaro (KPKGM-Ig-3)
Naipakikita ang pagpapahalaga sa maayos na pakikipaglaro
(KAKPS-00-19)
Procedure:
1.Set the learners in a big space where they can freely run around
safely.
Indoor Game/ 2.The teacher says “The yacht is sinking, group yourselves into
Light Physical __!” Then the learners will group themselves according to the

10:05am- 3.When the players have settled into their respective groups, the
10:25am teacher checks if the groups have the correct number of players.
4.The learners without group or with incomplete number will be
out of the game and can cheer for the other players. They can also
shout, “The yacht is sinking. Group yourselves into _________.”
