1. Advantages of Teaching Mother Tongue as a subject for both the learners and the
teachers?

Napakamahalaga ng mother tongue dahil kung titignan natin yong transition ng

bata, so hindi agad sila nabibigla dahil ginagamit natin ang sarili nating lenggwahe diba
so yong transition ng knowledge ay napaka-smooth dahil ginagamit natin ang
lenggwahe na naririnig mismo nila sa loob ng tahanan, So for us sa ating mga rizaleño
ah, di masyadong mahirap yan diba kasi tagalog na tayo eh pero kung titignan natin
outside of these provinces napakamahalaga yan kahit sabihin nating na ang dialect
namin natin is first language natin which is wikang pambasa yong Filipino, Para sa akin
mahalaga talaga siya kasi yong transition ng knowledge ay napaka smooth dahil
ginagamit mismo natin yong naririnig nila mismo sa loob ng tahanan na language.

2. Challenges and Problems Encountered

Tayong mga... dahil ngayon ang pinakamahirap kasi na challenge sa atin ay

kalaban natin ang social media, So social media is napaka.. napakahirap natin
kalabanin yon so ang dami na nating lenggwahe meron tayong mga third language
yong ginagamit ng mga.. diba may gender tayo so may... so ang dami diba may mga
pabalbal may ginagamit tayo sa every day na pagtuturo, sa everyday na learning, sa
school mayroon din tayong outside of the school tama ba? at mayroon din tayo yong
mga ginagamit ng mga.. tayo rin naman ay gender quality naman tayo so ginagamit
talaga nila yon, yung mga salita na for example is waley oh diba yong mga ganon na
salita so para sa atin, parang nachachallenge tayo kasi mas alam nila yon keysa sa
wikang tagalog lalo na yong mahihirap na salita yong malalalim na salita so mas
namomotivate sila na gamitin yon kasi sa social media ay napakaganda.. napakalaging
impluwensiya yon naman yong challenges para sa akin hirap tayo na anak ito ang tama
ayan ay pabalbal lang pero the formal way on how to right the spelling of it is ito so ayon
naman ang challenge sa atin, so kailangan natin silang turuan, sabihan kasi akala nila
tama na yong nakikita nila.

3. Solution that were created so far to address the problems

The solution is first, pag nag cecreate ka ng lesson, you should considered the
diversity of learners yung invironment nila kailangan alam natin bakit sila na motivate
na manood through social media. So as a teacher you have to be creative , hindi lang
creative na eto yung gusto ko kundi tayo ay creative dahil ito yung nababagay ngayon,
this is the innovative scenario of education and kailangan gawin natin kung ito yung
nakikita or kung ito yung paraan na namomotivate sila through social media then gawin
natin sa loob ng classroom. So maging creative tayo at hindi lang basta creative
gumamit tayo ng makabagong teknolohiya para sila ay mas ma motivate.

4. Further recommendations to better achieve the goals of MTB-MLE?

I think mas yakapin natin kung ano yung culture na meron tayo, Kase yung
mother tongue is more on sa culture natin eh, unang una andun yung ating wika so
yakapin natin yung meron tayo dahil kung magaling yung ating mga Filipino sa 3 rd
language or international language , why not na gawin nating master yung mga learners
natin sa ating pinag mulan at lalong dapat magturo tayo na galing sa ating puso.
REFLECTION

For me, the things I learn from knowledgeable persons are very helpful to me,
like Teacher Jelly, She gives us an information on how to handle students inside of the
classroom, how to be a creative teacher. As a future educator I’m glad for being like
this, Because everything motivates me to love the students.

Actually, I’m afraid that maybe in the future it will be difficult for me to understand every
situation of the child. I’m afraid I can’t handle your teaching. Ma’am Jelly said that the
advantage of teaching the mother tongue is that the child quickly understands what is
being taught but she also said that it is difficult to teach when you are competing for
their attention. For example the use of gadgets, because they are more attracted to use
them than to listen. But like Teacher Jelly said that every problem or challenge we
encountered, there’s a Solution. You have to be creative to make it clear to every child
who listens to you.

I love the movie about “Every Child is Special” It’s a reminder that Kid has a Special
Gift. He loves painting that’s about colorful world. That’s teacher used his talent to
motivate that student to be a genius kid. My point is that teachers turn to be creative
teachers.

We should consider the diversity of the learners and their environment, we need to
know why they are motivated to watch through social media.

My reflection regard this ,I also agree that in this day and generation it is easy
for us to learn different languages because with the help of social media it is easier to
find things and anything using social media platform such as google, YouTube etc.

That's why it's no wonder that today's children are fluent in using the English language
and what's even more amazing? is that they are learning different languages through
social media, that's why I also agree with what was said in Ma'am statement that if this
is going to be the instrument for students to learn, why not let's use it and be creative in
using it. but since not all people or students are dependent on social media it is more
important that we still use our own language in teaching if necessary because there are
still many of us "like me" who learn faster if we still use Tagalog language, because it is
better to understood and we are more comfortable expressing our thoughts by using it,
there's nothing wrong if we don't always use other language if it's not necessary, what's
wrong is if we don't embrace our own language.

I also believe that teaching MTB MLE is very important cause it is one of the ways for us
to better understand the importance of using languages, specially our mother tongue
and what was said in Ma'am statement mother tongue is more on our culture.
