I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards
The learners demonstrate understanding of the organisms interacting with each other and with their environment to survive
B. Performance Standards The learners should be able to conduct a collaborative action to preserve the ecosystem in the locality.
C. Most Essential Learning The learners should be able to;
Competencies Differentiate biotic from abiotic components of an ecosystem (S7LT-11h-9)1. number of individuals involved;
Specific Objectives:
o Describe the biotic and abiotic components of the ecosystem.
o identify and describe the categories of the abiotic components (climatic factors, edaphic factors, and physiographic factors) and how important these
components in sustaining ecological process
o identify the biotic components and give the important role in the ecosystem
o Understand what living things need to survive

Focus: Enumerate the basic categories of the
abiotic components of an ecosystem and
give their importance to the biotic
things..
Directions:
1. Read carefully and understand the story.
2. Answer the critical thinking questions.
Activity 4
Focus: Draw an ecosystem within their vicinity.
Directions:
1. Observe around your house or look through
your windows. Look for an ecosystem.
(Note: Always remember, you are NOT
allowed to go outside of your house to do this
activity. You can ask your parent/guardian to
take a picture of an ecosystem in your
community for you to see if you do not have
inside of your house.).
2. Draw an ecosystem that you have seen in
your bond paper and use your artwork
materials to make it creative.
