NARRATIVE REPORT
Narrative Report September 9, 2022

An urgent department meeting was called under the School Memorandum

no. 40, s. 2022 for the dissemination of information regarding the 1 st Parent-
Teacher Conference, the issuance of leaner’s ID, and other school matters.
All the 16 senior high school teachers and the department coordinator,
Ma’am Marilyn L. Lorzano, were gathered at 10 in the morning in the senior high
school’s computer laboratory 1.
Attendance checking was done first to ensure that everyone was present.
Right after that, a short introduction of the new teacher, Ma’am Criselda Dado,
preceded.
In the meeting proper, Ma’am Lorzano reminded the teachers about the
process of filing leave form and pass slip in which she needed to note first to
monitor teacher’s attendance. Along side with this, she also reminded everyone to
supervise properly the learner’s attendance and to keep record of it.
As for the main agenda, all advisers were informed about the schedule of
the 1st Parent-Teacher Conference which will be on September 14, 2022. All Grade
11 will hold their PTC at 8:30 am until 10:00am while all Grade 12 will be at
10:30am until 12:00 noon. The conference will be done on the respective
classrooms of each section in the VSR I and VSR II buildings.

The following will be the topics to be discussed during the 1 st PTC.

1. HPTA Election
2. Updates on the changes of schedule
● Distance Learning Schedules: Grade 11- Monday and Wednesday
Grade 12- Tuesday and Wednesday
● In Person Classes: Grade 11- Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
Grade 12- Monday, Thursday, and Friday
-For Monday and Tuesday, all senior high will follow the schedule
which will be for Batch 1- 8:50am to 12:00 noon, and for Batch 2-
12:00noon to 3:10pm. This is due to the classrooms that will be
utilized during those days.
-For Thursday and Friday, all senior high school students’ schedule
will be from 6:30am-12:00noon wherein they will use the
classrooms in the DPWH building and the new building.
● The discipline of the students regarding their stay near the school
premise before and after classes, their use of comfort rooms, and
other students’ use of cigarettes or vapes.

Then, Ma’am Marilyn Lorzano reiterated the utilization of modules during

asynchronous classes and asked the teachers to have their different interactive
strategies during face-to-face classes. Advisers were also reminded to ensure that
all students with tablets have their soft copies of modules and other learning
materials.
Furthermore, as newly assigned department coordinator, Ma’am Lorzano
asked everyone to add her in one of their class group chats for the instructional
supervision in which Ma’am Jihnel Magnaye was the first one to comply.
The other main agenda was discussed by the department’s ICT
Coordinator, Sir Senando G. Faalam, Jr. and it was regarding the gathering of
information and pictures of the learners for their school ID. He gave all advisers the
forms needed to be distributed to all learners for their data and signatures. All
concerned personnel were informed that they have to complete the needed details
until the following week.
After all the plotted concerns, everyone discussed about the
maintenance of the classrooms in the new building and the transportation of
additional chairs for each room since senior high school’s population per class is
bigger than the junior high school classes who are using the said building from
Monday-Wednesday.

Finally, everything was settled and closed at 11am.

COMMENTS, SUGGESTIONS, AND RESOLUTIONS

● Use of Comfort Rooms
- Ma’am Claudine K. Piol informed Ma’am Lorzano that the lock of the
comfort room in room 801 was broken, so she was told to inform the
maintenance to fix the issue.
● PTC
- Ma’am Prima De Guzman suggested for the school to make a temporary
localized school guidelines and rules. However, Ma’am Lorzano explained
that no one is allowed to disseminate information that is not officially
allowed and noted by the division and the school.
● Learner’s ID
- Ma’am De Guzman suggested for a soft copy of the form so that the data
gathering would be easier. Sir Faalam ensured that the soft copy will be
provided as well as the Google Form for a more convenient way of
harvesting the e-signatures and pictures of the students.
- Ma’am Audrey J. Saflor also suggested to do the formal taking of ID picture
on Monday, September 12, when most of the students will be present.
● Lack of Chairs
- Sir Robert Louis De Gula suggested that all boys will get the needed chairs
from the 4th floor before the start of the class or from the rooms in VSR II.
However, due to the risk of going up and down of the students and the
distance of VSR II, it was agreed to just use monobloc chairs instead, and
to coordinate with the assigned JHS teachers in every room so that the
chairs would not need to be removed and placed before and after senior
high school’s classes.
