Regular pay raise is decided in April based on the work performance during the appraisal
period. However, this shall not apply if the corporation's business performance is
remarkably poor or there are unavoidable reasons. Depending on the evaluation results of
staff, the payment may stay the same amount as previous year. Those who are appointed
after January 1st in the last fiscal year are not eligible for pay raise.

Bonus is paid to those who are employed on the payment date in June and December who are
under age 60. It is based on the corporation's achievement and employee's performance
and is paid to those who are on monthly salary bases. Depending upon the evaluation

is not paid to yearly contract employees such as doctors and chief of each department
who are approved by the corporation president.

Method of Training
Speaking tests with feedback will be conducted every Wednesday.
3 to 4 exam questions are made per month and one-on-one speaking training is given to see if it is just a
lack of knowledge, a careless mistake or not understanding technical terms. Candidates will work on our
worksheets to study technical terms. The result of mock test will be analyzed so that we understand the
candidates' strong and weak points. Advice is offered for those who are not certain to carry the study by
themselves.

(2) Japanese language training


Method of Training
Take a two-hour lecture by external Japanese language instructors every week.
Questions are given from our original texts. Check how much candidates understand the sentences and
questions, explain the terms they don't understand using pictures and words. Speak only Japanese during
work hours and focus on communication among staff members.

Staff members are very supportive and treat candidates nicely so they can work at the facility in peace.

For the first two months from the initial employment, interviews with candidates are arranged every week
in order to settle any difficulties or worries together. The candidates are taken to public places or

practice sessions to learn how to treat patients and work as an assistant nurse. .
