2.Вчителі – це люди, які відіграють значну роль в житті кожної людини. Для
одних – це наставники і приклад, для інших – травма на все життя і витрачений
час.
Любов до дітей
“James Comer says that no significant learning can occur without a significant
relationship.”
“George Washington Carver says all learning is understanding relationships.”

When I teach my pupils for some years their parents usually trust me in the choice of
the book, as they see the result of studying. I found the ideal books for myself. It’s
Upstream B1+ for the 8th and 9th form and On Screen b2+ for the 10th and the11th . In
these books there is practically all the material met at ZNO test.
Of course, I add a lot of additional tasks from different books, but all the vocabulary,
grammar and topics are well presented in these two books. But, I would like to
emphasize on the fact that the material of authentic books must be given to the pupils
in the right way. Very often the teachers skip a lot of material from the book, take
only some exercises or take just SB or WB. It’s a great mistake. All the material in
authentic books is very well structured, well thought-out and connected with the
previous one. If the teacher skips something the pupils don’t get the profound
knowledge. And at the end they know only separate things which they cannot connect
between each other and use.
At the end of each part of each unit I check the understanding and the ability to use it
in practical tasks. And if I am not satisfied with the result I give additional tasks and
exercises on the same topic and explain it again because my aim is not to put the bad
mark but to get the most from the abilities of each student.. Profound knowledge of
each theme works like a brick in building the house. So, sometimes it is better less but
of better quality.
5.Pupils should have all the material learnt during the years in one place.
As we all know most children are not very organized, it’s difficult for them to keep in
mind and organize in necessary moment the material they have studied before. When
we explain them something new they usually confuse it with the previous one and
here is when the problems begin. For this reason my pupils always have GRAMMAR
NOTEBOOKs. It’s not just grammar which they keep there. There are grammar
rules, topics, poems, phrasal verbs, idioms, the examples of writing tasks and
everything I know will be necessary for them before ZNO test. I make the first
grammar notebook in the 2nd form. I never explain the material only in oral or only
on the blackboard. I always do in different ways and in the end I stick the rule into
their copybooks. After some time they have something like their own reference book.
At any moment I ask them to open these notebooks and to revise the things they need.
The rules are always in different colours – it makes the understanding easier and it is
easier to find the rule when they need it. In the 5th or 6th form they start a new
GRAMMAR BOOK which they keep till the 11th form. Till the 11th form they have
everything which they need to revise before ZNO test. And once again it is necessary
for the teacher to know exactly what the pupils need (and as I have mentioned before,
the teachers themselves must know all the features of ZNO test) and it is very
important not to change the teachers during pupils’ studying, because effective
preparation to the test is not the case of one or two years. It’s a long process which
should be carefully planned years ahead.
