8

Bolognese tradition and was presented to the Bologna Chamber of Commerce in

1982 states that as the ragu finishes, you need to add a cup of milk, or even
cream to the sauce, but if you don’t like this, you can ___________it out. Add
the milk and leave it on the heat to ___________ completely, and then we can
___________it and then we finally finish our ragu Bolognese.
Put a large pot of water, ___________with sea salt and boil, and when it’s
come to the boil add the spaghetti. We can drain the pasta, and add it directly to
the Bolognese. Here we are. Ok, mix it well, and our Spaghetti Bolognese is
ready to be served. Our Spaghetti Bolognese is ready. If you’d like to give the
genuine finishing touch, __________it with a bit of parmejiano reggiano. Bon
appetito from Sonia and Giallo Zafferano, and we’ll see you in the next video
recipe.

Task 7. My mother told me how to cook

eggs in bacon baskets, but I don't remember
the steps. Please, help me to restore the recipe.
# Choose Right order
1 Now add salt... pepper, and the
roughly torn basil leaves... be generous
with basil!Give another stir... and take
the pan: we'll use a muffin pan, because
our baked eggs will look a bit like
muffins.
2 Here are the ingredients we'll need
for today's recipe, a tasty appetizer,
ready in 30 minutes: the eggs in bacon
baskets!
3 Take a slice of bacon... lay the
second one crosswise... and line the rest
of the muffin cup. If you don't have a
muffin pan, you can use aluminum
baking cups, that you can find at the
supermarket, or ceramic ramekins, like
this. You don't need to grease the pan,
10

since bacon is fat enough and it won't

stick to the pan.
4 Our eggs in bacon baskets are
ready, serve with a fresh salad. For a
vegetarian version, you can use grilled
zucchini instead of bacon, but take care
to line the mould with parchment
paper... good, easy and quick!
5 They're ready, now pour the egg
mixture into each basket. Bake at 350°F
(180°C) for 12-15 minutes, until the eggs
are cooked and golden brown.
6 Crack the eggs... now add the
heavy cream, as an alternative you can
replace it with ricotta cheese or a couple
of tablespoons of mascarpone cheese...
2 tablespoons of parmesan cheese...
beat everything... until you have an even
mixture. If you want to make the eggs
richer, you can add more cheese or
vegetables, but take care to finely dice
them, so they'll bake evenly.

to the headings.
Sumosan Restaurant
___________
The Sumosan Restaurant is the acme of modern Japanese cuisine. Located
on the 1st floor of the Premier Palace Hotel, it offers a very original interior and
the best Japanese food in all of Kyiv. This little corner of mysterious Japan can be
found in the heart of downtown.

Sumosan’s great reputation is linked to similar restaurants in London,
where the first Sumosan was opened, and Moscow. Since its start, Sumosan has
been visited by an enormous variety of stars from the film, music and sports
industries. In London, Sumosan is in the Top 10 of restaurants in that city. But
the gastronomic success of the Sumosan family is not based on sound bites from
famous people. Unswervingly high quality, revolutionary menus and friendly
service—these are what make Sumosan stand above the rest.
___________
The exclusivity of Sumosan is underscored by:
•unique dishes, both traditional and contemporary Japanese, that you will
not find in other restaurants in Kyiv;
•a teppan show in a specially furnished teppan room;
•3 VIP rooms for 5–8 diners that can be combined to form one larger
private banquet room for up to 35;
•a summer terrace next to the main entrance to the Hotel.
