Final Project
The following table lays out how the actual course marking is broken down.
Assessment Marks
Prelims 10%
Midterm 10%
Semifinals 10%
Final examination
Written 10%
Oral 30%
Course Project 20 %
With this marking scheme, there will be an assurance that the student’s final grade will be fair
and objective because it is based largely on the oral examination where they demonstrate what
they have really learned from the course.
Perhaps, he got help in doing the written examinations and the course project, which the
instructor/ instructress actually encourage because in doing so they learn a lot, but all in all, even
if they do all the written works perfectly, they can only get a maximum of 70% for the finals.
It is the oral examination that determines if they will pass or not because it carries the remaining
30% they need to complete their final grade. They should be very well prepared and do their best
to be able to pass it.
