“Animals”

Тема: Тварини.

Мета: Ознайомити учнів з новою лексикою та активізувати її вживання

в мовленні. Практикувати учнів в аудіюванні з метою повного
розуміння всієї інформації. Розвивати навички усного мовлення, вчити
висловлювати власну думку.

Обладнання: підручник, картинки із зображенням тварин, магнітофон,

касета із записом тексту “Wolves”.

Хід уроку
І. Введення в іншомовну атмосферу.

T. Our today’s lesson is not a usual one. As you can see we have some
guests who want to watch your lesson, to listen to your answers and maybe
even to learn something new from you. So during the lesson you must be
very attentive, active... what else?
P1 – hard working
P2 – industrious
P3– energetic...
T. That’s right. You know everything about it. Let’s start. The topic of our
lesson is “Animals”. Do you like animals? What are your favourite ones?

Учні називають своїх улюблених тварин. Вчитель демонструє їм

картинки із зображенням їх улюбленців, а вони вибирають одну
тварину, якою вони хотіли б стати на один день. (Гра “I Wish...”)

T. Your task is to choose an animal you would like to be for a day. In a

minute you will tell us about your day or thoughts as the animal you have
chosen.

Учні розповідають про свій день, проведений у ролі вибраної ними

тварини.

T. I think that all the people like animals – big, small, living in the water or
in the forest. But there are animals that are the most popular among the
people. They write stories, shoot films, make up fairy tales about them. What
are they?
P1 – a fox

T. You are right, children. Let us listen about a wolf.

II. Основна частина уроку.

1. Аудіювання тексту та його опрацювання.

Прослуховування тексту підручника “Wolves”, ст.75

2. Робота над лексикою. Пояснення значення виділених слів

англійською мовою.

Traditional – being part of the beliefs, customs or way of life of a particular

group of people, that have not changed for a long time.
Insist – to demand that smth happens or that smb agrees to do smth.
Announce – to tell people smth officially, especially about a desision, plan
etc.
Howl – a long loud sad cry made by a dog, wolf, etc.
Night – the time of darkness between one day and the next, usually when
people sleep.

3. Виконання вправ підручника.

Вправа 5, ст.75.
Mach the numbers to the letters:

List the animals under the appropriate category.
Wild animals Domestic animals
Tiger, kangaroo, horse, African elephant, cow, crocodile, wolf, dog, sheep,
lion, chicken, python, ape, goat.

4. Робота в групах.
T. Now, children, you’ll be divided into three groups. Each group will get a
problem to discuss. After 3 minutes of your discussion you’ll have to tell us
about your conclusions.

Групи отримують теми для дискусії:

а) Do you think it is right for people to wear animal skins? Why/Why not?
b) Do farmers have the right to shoot wild animals? Why/Why not?
c) Would you ever kill an animal? Why/Why not?
Учні обговорюють свої теми в групах і один або два учні з кожної
групи розказує про висновки, до яких вони прийшли під час
обговорень.

III. Заключна частина уроку.

1. Домашнє завдання.
T. Your hometask is to learn the words to the text “Wolves”, to find and tell
us some interisting information about wolves which was not mentioned in
the text.

2. Підбиття підсумків уроку.

T. What have we done today?
Which activities do you like best?
What new information did you learn about wolves?
