I just came back from my year studying in Japan. It was a great experience that I will
never forget. One of the best things about studying abroad was that my Japanese improved so
much. I could speak and understand the language much better after a year of living and
studying there.

different cultures and make new friends. However, making friends was difficult at first. My
Japanese wasn't very good at first. And eventually, I made some really good friends. Living
alone was also a challenge, but it taught me how to be independent and take care of myself. I

classmates during my time in Japan. They showed me around the city and introduced me to
